Frankfurt airport working on flying taxis
FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — The operator of Frankfurt's international airport says it is developing a concept for electric air taxi services.
Fraport AG is working with Volocopter GmbH, which makes two-seat, multi-rotor electric aircraft that can fly with a pilot or autonomously.
Actually operating such taxis to bring people to and from the airport will have to wait until the legal framework for autonomous flying is established and such aircraft can be certified for passenger use.
ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greece has formally completed the transfer of 14 regional airports to a consortium led by Germany's Fraport AG, in a privatization that is a key element of the country's bailout program.
The Greek state privatization agency says that under the deal signed Tuesday the consortium has paid a 1.23 billion-euro ($1.3 billion) lump sum.

Brazil privatizes 4 airports
SAO PAULO (AP) — German, French and Swiss companies have won the right to run four airports in Brazil, with bids totaling $1.20 billion.
Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency says in a Thursday statement that German airport operator Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services won the right to operate the international airport of Fortaleza in northeastern Brazil with a bid of $484 million. It also will run the airport in southern Porto Alegre with a bid of $123 million.
