ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Elizabeth Cambage had 43 points and 13 rebounds and the Dallas Wings beat the Las Vegas Aces 107-102 on Friday night to clinch the final WNBA playoff spot and end a nine-game losing streak.
It ended a turbulent stretch for Dallas, giving interim coach Taj McWilliams-Franklin her first victory. The Wings hadn't won since July 19, leading to the firing of coach Fred Williams on Sunday.
UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) — Jonquel Jones had 27 points and 10 rebounds, and the Connecticut Sun beat the Dallas Wings 96-76 on Tuesday night to spoil the head-coaching debut of Taj McWilliams-Franklin.

Connecticut (19-13) has won seven of eight, and it is fourth in the playoff standings.
NEW YORK (AP) — The WNBA's final week of the regular season is shaping up to be a wild dash to the finish.
Playoff seeding and the final playoff spot are still up for grab.
About the only thing that has been decided when it comes to the postseason is Seattle will have a bye to the semifinals. Atlanta is close to wrapping up a top two seed, but finishes the season with two more games on the road. Washington, Connecticut, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Minnesota are all jockeying for a first-round bye.
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Dallas Wings coach Fred Williams was relieved of his duties Sunday with the club mired in an eight-game losing streak that jeopardized a playoff spot that once seemed secure.
Team President and CEO Greg Bibb announced his decision several hours after a 93-80 road loss to Washington. Assistant Taj McWilliams-Franklin was named interim coach. The Wings (14-17) have a one-game lead over Las Vegas for the WNBA's final playoff spot with three games remaining.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Ariel Atkins scored 26 points, Elena Delle Donne added 23 and the Washington Mystics won their sixth straight, beating the Dallas Wings 93-80 on Sunday.
The Wings announced several hours after the game that coach Fred Williams was being relieved of his duties following an eighth straight loss.
The Mystics (20-11) pulled away to a 51-37 halftime lead with a 25-9 run to close the second quarter and extended the advantage to 70-46 on Atkins' 3-pointer with 3:18 left in the third.
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Dallas Wings forward Karima Christmas-Kelly will undergo knee surgery and miss the rest of the season, the team announced Tuesday.
Christmas-Kelly started Dallas' first six games this season before missing Friday's win over Indiana with the injury, and she's averaging 9.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. The surgery will address what the team called an "osteochondral defect" in her right knee and has an expected recovery time of six months.
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Australian center Liz Cambage signed a multiyear contract with the Dallas Wings on Monday, returning to the WNBA organization that drafted her second overall seven years ago.
Wings president Greg Bibb called the 6-foot-8 Cambage "one of the best players in the world."
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Skylar Diggins-Smith scored 21 points and had seven assists, Allisha Gray added 20 points, and the Dallas Wings beat the Atlanta Dream 94-84 on Wednesday night.
Atlanta trailed by 10 points early in the fourth quarter but pulled to 86-82 with 1:28 left on Brittney Sykes' 3-pointer. Gray answered with Dallas' first 4-point play of the season for an eight-point lead.
NEW YORK (AP) — The Dallas Wings are doing their best to woo Australian center Liz Cambage to return to the WNBA.
She visited Dallas this week while on vacation and now is in New York, coincidently, as the Wings played the Liberty on Friday night.
Coach Fred Williams enjoyed spending time with Cambage in Dallas, but didn't know when and if she would return to the team, which still owns her rights after drafting the 6-foot-8 star in 2011 with the No. 2 overall pick.
