METZ, France (AP) — Second-seeded David Goffin hit 13 aces to rally past Nicolas Almagro 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 and reach the quarterfinals at the Moselle Open on Thursday.
Defending champion Lucas Pouille, who won his maiden title at the same tournament last year, lost to 86th-ranked Marius Copil of Romania 7-6 (4), 7-6 (6).
Isner, Harrison advance to BB&T Atlanta Open final
ATLANTA (AP) — Second-seeded John Isner beat third-seeded Gilles Muller of Luxembourg 6-4, 6-2 on Saturday to reach the BB&T Atlanta Open final for the fifth straight year and the seventh time in eight years.
Isner lost to Nick Kyrgios last year at Atlantic Station after winning the hard-court event three straight years. The 6-foot-10 former University of Georgia star will face fourth-seeded Ryan Harrison in an all-American final.

Top-seeded Jack Sock advances in Atlanta Open
ATLANTA (AP) — Top-seeded Jack Sock beat Israel's Dudi Sela 6-4, 6-3 on Thursday night in the American's opening match in the BB&T Atlanta Open.
Sock set up a quarterfinal match against fifth-seeded Kyle Edmund of England, a 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 winner over Germany's Peter Gojowczyk 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 in the hard-court event.
The 24-year-old Sock has three career victories, winning this year in Auckland, New Zealand, and Delray Beach, Florida.
John Isner advances to Atlanta Open quarterfinals
ATLANTA (AP) — Second-seeded John Isner beat Canada's Vasek Pospisil 6-3, 6-4 on Wednesday night in the 6-foot-10 former University of Georgia star's opening match in the BB&T Atlanta Open.
Coming off a victory Sunday in the Hall of Fame Open in Newport, Rhode Island, Isner is seeking his fourth Atlanta title in five seasons. He lost to Nick Kyrgios in the final last year.

SYDNEY (AP) — Luxembourg veteran Gilles Muller prevented an all-Britain singles sweep at the Sydney International, beating Daniel Evans 7-6 (5), 6-2 in the men's final Saturday.
It was the 33-year-old Muller's first ATP win in his sixth final. At No. 34, he had been the highest-ranked player on the ATP Tour to have not won a tournament.

Muller to meet defending champ Troicki in Sydney semifinals
SYDNEY (AP) — Gilles Muller beat second-seeded Pablo Cuevas 7-6 (5), 6-4 on Thursday to advance to the Sydney International semifinals against two-time defending champion Viktor Troicki.
Troicki was scheduled to face No. 5 Philipp Kohlschreiber in another quarterfinal Thursday, but the German player withdrew with a back injury, handing third-seeded Troicki a walkover into the last four.
Troicki is attempting to become the first player in the Open era to win three consecutive Sydney titles.
Murray must play better if he wants Djokovic’s No. 1 ranking

TOKYO (AP) — Marin Cilic and David Goffin advanced to the semifinals of the Japan Open on Friday, and they will play each other for a spot in the final.
The fifth-seeded Goffin rallied to beat Joao Sousa 1-6, 7-5, 6-2, while the fourth-seeded Cilic beat injury-plagued Juan Monaco 7-5, 6-1.
Goffin beat Cilic in Indian Wells early this year, and then again in a Davis Cup match for Belgium against Croatia. Those are their only two career meetings.
Veteran Benneteau upsets 5th-seeded Klizan at Moselle Open
METZ, France (AP) — With his serve clicking throughout, French veteran Julien Benneteau upset fifth-seeded Martin Klizan of Slovakia 6-2, 6-1 in the first round of the Moselle Open on Monday.
Ranked more than 200 places below his opponent, the 34-year-old Benneteau had nine aces, won 87 percent of his first-serve points, 80 percent on second serve, did not face a break point and broke Klizan's serve five times in a one-sided match lasting less than one hour.
Ivo Karlovic outlasts Gilles Muller at Hall of Fame
NEWPORT, R.I. (AP) — Ivo Karlovic charged the net, put his backhand shot over and knew he finally won the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships.
The second-seeded Karlovic, from Croatia, beat third-seeded Gilles Muller of Luxembourg 6-7 (2), 7-6 (5), 7-6 (12) on Sunday in the longest deciding tiebreaker in the Open Era.
The 37-year-old Karlovic lost in the final on Newport's grass courts the previous two years. It was his seventh career ATP title.
