YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Darius Quisenberry had a season-high 37 points as Youngstown State defeated Illinois-Chicago 81-73 on Saturday night.
Quisenberry shot 14 for 16 from the line.
Devin Morgan had 15 points for Youngstown State (12-16, 8-7 Horizon League), which won its sixth consecutive game. Jelani Simmons added 10 points. Naz Bohannon had seven rebounds for the hosts.
Ottey scores 20 to lift UIC over Cleveland St. 81-77
CLEVELAND (AP) — Marcus Ottey had 20 points as Illinois-Chicago narrowly defeated Cleveland St. 81-77 on Thursday night.
Tarkus Ferguson had 19 points for Illinois-Chicago (14-12, 8-5 Horizon League), which won its fourth consecutive game. Godwin Boahen added 18 points and seven assists. Michael Diggins had 12 points for the road team.

CHICAGO (AP) — Tarkus Ferguson had 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, and Jamie Ahale made his only basket of the game with 2.5 seconds left to help Illinois-Chicago beat Horizon League leader Northern Kentucky 69-67 on Sunday.
Michael Diggins' fast-break dunk, off a nice baseline drive and pass from Godwin Boahen, put UIC ahead 60-54 with just under four minutes to play. But NKU battled back and Drew McDonald scored on a quick inbounds play for a 67-66 lead with 59.7 seconds left.
Cohen scores 26, McCloud 21 in Green Bay win over UIC
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Sandy Cohen scored 26 points with four assists, JayQuan McCloud added 21 points and Green Bay defeated Illinois-Chicago 90-85 on Saturday.
After UIC led 44-42 at the half, Green Bay amped it up in the second half, scoring 48 points on 56 percent shooting. Four players reached double figures in the second half alone.
DeAndre Abram leads Milwaukee over UIC 81-69
MILWAUKEE (AP) — DeAndre Abram had 19 points and a career-high 16 rebounds on Thursday night and Milwaukee held on after taking control late in the first half for an 81-69 win over Illinois-Chicago.
The Panthers (8-11, 3-3 Horizon League) closed the first half on a 13-3 run to lead 32-23 at the break and extended to their largest lead at 41-26 early in the second.
Ferguson buries 7 3s to lead UIC past Youngstown St 78-63
CHICAGO (AP) — Tarkus Ferguson scored 23 points shooting 7 of 10 from 3-point range and Illinois-Chicago snapped a two-game skid and beat Youngstown State 78-63 Thursday night.
Godwin Boahen scored 21 points with four 3s, Rob Howard shot 5 of 8 from the field and the Flames made 31 of 56 (55 percent) from the field including 14 of 31 (45) from distance.
Justice scores career-high 30 in IUPUI’s victory

UIC beats NAIA-member St. Francis (Ill.) 76-55
CHICAGO (AP) — Godwin Boahen scored 20 and Tarkus Ferguson had 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to help Illinois-Chicago beat NAIA-member St. Francis (Ill.) 76-55 on Friday night.
UIC (6-7) led from the opening basket and closed the first half with a 10-0 run to lead 41-24 at the break. Reilly Goulet had a pair of 3-pointers for St. Francis in the middle of the second half that cut the deficit to 11 each time, but the Fighting Saints got no closer.
Strus’ has career night in DePaul’s 90-70 win over UIC
CHICAGO (AP) — Max Strus tied a program record with eight 3-pointers and scored a career-high 34 points Friday night to help DePaul beat Illinois-Chicago 90-70.
Strus was 8 of 16 from 3-point range and grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds for his third career double-double. He scored 20 in the first half when the Blue Demons (7-2) built a 52-28 lead.
Devin Gage added 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. Paul Reed scored 13, and Jalen Coleman-Lands and Eli Cain had 10 points apiece for DePaul.
Ferguson’s triple-double, Blount help UIC beat Illinois St.
CHICAGO (AP) — Tarkus Ferguson had a triple-double and Jordan Blount scored a career-high 27 points to help Illinois-Chicago beat Illinois State 94-75 on Wednesday night.
Ferguson, who was just 4-of-16 shooting, had 14 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Godwin Boahen, the only other player in program history with a triple-double, hit a career-best six 3-pointers on as many attempts and finished with 22 points for UIC.
Ottey, Boahen help UIC overcome Wisconsin Parkside 94-74
CHICAGO (AP) — Marcus Ottey scored 20 points and Godwin Boahen drained a career-high five 3-pointers as UIC rallied in a hot-shooting second half to put away Division-II's Wisconsin Parkside 94-74 Saturday.
Four players for UIC (3-3) reached double-figure scoring with Boahen adding 19, Rob Howard and Jacob Wiley coming off the bench for 15 and 10, respectively. The Flames shot 72 percent from the floor (23-for-32) in the second half, outscoring Wisconsin Parkside 55-39.
Ferguson has double-double, helps UIC hold off Bradley 71-70
CHICAGO (AP) — Tarkus Ferguson scored 22 points while dishing out 10 assists and grabbing eight rebounds as UIC survived a late charge by Bradley to knock the Braves from the undefeated ranks 71-70 on Saturday night.
Godwin Boahen added 16 points and Marcus Ottey contributed 12 for UIC (2-3) which gained its second straight win after starting 0-3.
UIC outlasts William & Mary 100-95 in OT
CHICAGO (AP) — Tarkus Ferguson scored 25, Godwin Boahen added 24 points and UIC beat William & Mary 100-95 in overtime on Thursday night.
Ferguson scored the Flames' first five points of the extra period and Marcus Ottey hit a 3-pointer to give UIC (1-3) the lead for good at 90-87.
Boahen scored six in overtime, including a pair of free throws to make it a two-possession game with four seconds left.
LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — Tarkus Ferguson scored 16 points and Illinois-Chicago beat Liberty 67-51 on Wednesday night in the semifinals of the CIT.
UIC closed the first half on an 8-3 run for 28-24 lead and held the first double-digit lead of the game at 40-29 on Godwin Boahen's 3-pointer. Michael Diggins started a 14-0 run with a 3-pointer, Boahen's 3 capped it for a 56-37 advantage and UIC led by at least 14 the rest of the way.
Odiase scores 19, UIC beats Oakland for fifth win in a row
ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) — Tai Odiase had 19 points, on 8-for-8 shooting, and three blocks, Godwin Boahen hit four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points and Illinois-Chicago beat Oakland 79-73 on Friday night for its fifth win in a row.
Marcus Ottey added 15 points and Tarkus Ferguson had 13 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for UIC (13-11, 8-3 Horizon League). The Flames have eight conference wins for the first time since finishing the 2007-08 season 9-9 in Horizon League play.
Feguson, UIC beat Milwaukee 74-56, win fourth in a row
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Tarkus Ferguson had 19 points, Dikembe Dixson and Godwin Boahen scored 13 apiece, and Illinois-Chicago beat Milwaukee 74-56 on Monday night.
The Flames (12-11, 7-3 Horizon League) have won four in a row for the first time since the 2012-13 season and their four-game road win streak is UIC's longest since winning six straight road games from Jan. 26 to March 9, 2004.
Ottey scores 18, UIC uses second-half run to beat IUPUI
CHICAGO (AP) — Marcus Ottey scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half and Tai Odiase finished with 11 points, nine rebounds and four blocks to help Illinois-Chicago beat IUPUI 71-62 on Saturday.
Odiase has a Horizon League record, and is the active leader in Division I, with 317 career blocked shots.
UIC hangs on for 87-80 win over Cleveland State
CLEVELAND (AP) — Jordan Blount scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Illinois-Chicago to an 87-80 win over Cleveland State on Saturday.
Godwin Boahen added a team-high 18 points with 6-for-8 shooting, Tarkus Ferguson had 16 points and Tai Odiase got 12 for UIC (10-11, 5-3 Horizon League). It was Blount's second double-double of the season.
Odiase sets blocks record, UIC beats Youngstown St 92-78
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Marcus Ottey set career highs with 29 points and four 3-pointers, Tai Odiase added 17 points and blocked five shots to set a Horizon League record, and UIC hit a season-high 14 3-pointers in beating Youngstown State 92-78 on Thursday night.
Odiase recorded his 310th block, setting a school record and eclipsing Horizon League record holder Damian Eargle (309 blocks) of Youngstown State (2010-13).
Dixson scores 23; UIC cruises in 84-73 win over Green Bay
CHICAGO (AP) — Dikembe Dixson scored 23 points to lead Illinois-Chicago over Green Bay 84-73 on Wednesday night.
UIC (7-10, 2-2 Horizon League) has won four of its last five home games while Green Bay (7-12, 2-4) has lost four straight.
Dixson made 10 of 12 field goals, including three 3-pointers. Marcus Ottey and Godwin Boahen added 16 points apiece, and Jordan Blount chipped in 13. The Flames finished with a season-high 20 assists, led by a career-best 12 from Tarkus Ferguson.
UIC romps past Delaware State 95-55
CHICAGO (AP) — Dominique Matthews had 19 points, Dikembe Dixson scored 16 and the pair combined to make 12 of 19 shots from the field as Illinois-Chicago raced to a 95-55 win over Delaware State on Thursday night.
Dixson scored seven and Matthews buried a 3-pointer in a 29-6 game-opening run and the Flames (2-1) were never threatened in building a 53-19 advantage by halftime.
Saint Joseph’s survives on road for 86-82 OT win over UIC
CHICAGO (AP) — James Demery had six of his 25 points in overtime, including a key 3-point play in the final minute, and Saint Joseph's powered past UIC 86-82 on Monday night.
Demery's 3-point play made it 83-78 with 39 seconds left and he added 1 of 2 free throws to make it a four-point lead for the Hawks (1-1) at 13 seconds. He finished two points short of the career-high 27 he set against Fordham on Jan. 7.
Boahen, Ferguson lead UIC to 65-55 win over NCCU
CHICAGO (AP) — Godwin Boahen scored 15 points and Tarkus Ferguson added 13 to help lead Illinois-Chicago to a 65-55 win over North Carolina Central on the opening night of the season for both teams on Friday night.
The Flames jumped out to an early lead and were up 20-10 with 8:07 left in the first half. They took a 29-20 lead into the break.
Green Bay seals it at the line over UIC in 84-80 win
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Warren Jones scored 18 points and Kenneth Lowe had 16 points and Green Bay held off Illinois-Chicago 84-80 from the free throw line making its final eight attempts on Thursday night.
The Flames closed to within two points twice in the last 30 seconds, 80-78 after a jumper by Dominique Matthews and 82-80 after K.J. Santos dunk. But both times the Phoenix thwarted the Flames' momentum by sinking free throws.
Alstork helps Wright State edge Illinois-Chicago 88-86

UIC uses 24-7 run to pull away from Cleveland State, 59-54
CLEVELAND (AP) — Godwin Boahen scored seven of 10 points during a 24-7 second-half run to help Illinois-Chicago beat Cleveland State 59-54 on Thursday night.
The Vikings led 39-30 before UIC took a 54-46 lead 2:18 remaining. Boahen made two layups and a 3-pointer, Dominique Matthews scored six of his 11 points, and Tarkus Ferguson added five of his six points during the stretch.
UIC cruises in 2nd half, beats Detroit 78-64
CHICAGO (AP) — Tarkus Ferguson had 16 points, six rebounds and six assists Friday night and Illinois-Chicago notched its first Horizon League win, beating Detroit 78-64.
The Flames (8-7, 1-1) recovered from a slow start — falling behind 9-2 — and mostly cruised after building a 40-25 lead at the break. The Titans (2-13, 0-3) had a 9-2 run to cut their deficit to 71-61 but got no closer.
Walker, Peters lead Valparaiso over Illinois-Chicago 70-59
CHICAGO (AP) — Tevonn Walker scored 23 points, and Alec Peters added 18 points and 11 rebounds as Valparaiso beat Illinois-Chicago 70-59, its 16th straight win over the Flames, in a Horizon League opener on Friday.

DEKALB, Ill. (AP) — Dikembe Dixson made 11 straight free throws and scored 24 points to help Illinois-Chicago beat Cal Poly 84-71 on Friday night in the NIU Thanksgiving Classic.
It was Dixson's third 20-plus game of the season and the 19th of his career.
Godwin Boahen made three 3-pointers and scored 14 points for UIC (3-2), which shot over 50 percent (53.1) from the field for the second time in three games. Tarkus Ferguson added two 3s and 11 points as the Flames made 9 of 19 from distance.
Raitanen’s FTs lifts San Francisco over UIC 82-80
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Ronnie Boyce scored a career-high 28 points, Remu Raitanen made a pair of free throws with 23 seconds left, and San Francisco held on to beat Illinois-Chicago 82-80 on Friday night.
Boyce was 11 of 19 from the field and made four 3-pointers. Nate Renfro had 12 points, and Chase Foster chipped in eight points and grabbed a career-best 11 rebounds.
Dikembe Dixson had 15 points to lead UIC. Godwin Boahen and Tai Odiase added 12 points apiece.
