JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — Sam Idowu scored nine of his 20 points in overtime before fouling out and Saint Peter's broke a four-game skid, edging Hampton 83-80 on Saturday.
Devauhnte Turner led the Peacocks (3-9) with 23 points and his two free throws with 24 seconds remaining in OT gave Saint Peter's the winning cushion. Quinn Taylor added 18 points.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Jermaine Marrow had 31 points, seven assists and five rebounds and Hampton defeated Howard 89-82 at the D.C. Holiday Hoops Festival on Saturday night.
Akim Mitchell had 18 points and 10 rebounds for Hampton (5-7) and Greg Heckstall added 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
RJ Cole had 29 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals for Howard (6-7).

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Marcus Santos-Silva scored 16 points on 8-of-9 shooting, Marcus Evans added 13 points with five rebounds and VCU held off Hampton 69-57 on Friday night.
Trailing 35-19 at halftime, Hampton rallied and closed to within 57-50 on Kalin Fisher's free throws with 4:06 remaining but got no closer. Evans hit a 3 and Santos-Silva made a dunk and three layups down the stretch as the Rams (2-0) dominated in the paint, outscoring the Pirates 36-16.
Hampton beats Delaware State 78-56
HAMPTON, Va. (AP) — Malique Trent-Street had 17 points, five rebounds, five assists and six steals and Hampton beat Delaware State 78-56 on Friday night.
CHARLOTTESVILLE - Isaiah Wilkins doesn’t know what was said, and neither did Hampton coach Ed Joyner. But a small, seemingly insignificant tussle on the ground led to a game-defining run. Greg Heckstall’s technical foul after fouling Wilkins was the consensus momentum changer. Virginia took, and made, four free throws without any time coming off the clock.
Virginia’s one-point lead ballooned to five. And it only grew from there.
Johnson, Dixon lift Missouri State over Hampton 88-75
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Alize Johnson tallied 17 points and 12 rebounds and Jarred Dixon scored 17 as Missouri State rolled to an 88-75 victory over Hampton on Friday night.
J.T. Miller added 11 points and Jarrid Rhodes scored 10 for the Bears (9-2), who have won seven straight games for the first time since a nine-game run during the 2010-11 season.
Hampton beats Mid-Atlantic Christian 117-54
HAMPTON, Va. (AP) — Trey Carver and Austin Colbert scored 17 points apiece, Charles Wilson-Fisher had a double-double, and Hampton beat Mid-Atlantic Christian 117-54 on Wednesday night.
Akim Mitchell scored 15 points, Greg Heckstall and Lysander Bracey added 14 apiece, and Wilson-Fisher scored 10 points with 15 rebounds and four blocks for the Pirates (4-5), who never trailed and led 61-24 at halftime. Jermaine Marrow had 11 of the Pirates' 28 assists.
Fisher lifts Hampton past D II St. Leo 72-56 behind Fisher
HAMPTON, Va. (AP) — Kalin Fisher scored a career-high 24 points on 8-of-10 shooting and grabbed a career-best 11 rebounds to help Hampton beat Division II-member St. Leo 72-56 on Monday night.
The Lions took a 36-35 lead early in the second half when DeAndre King buried a 3-pointer. Fisher responded scoring six of Hampton's next eight points during an 8-0 run for 43-36 lead and the Pirates never trailed again. Fisher later made a 3 with 11:46 left and the score was 52-39.
Steeves leads George Washington past Hampton 65-57
WASHINGTON (AP) — Patrick Steeves scored 14 points with five rebounds and four assists and George Washington beat Hampton 65-57 on Saturday.
Jair Bolden added 13 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Colonials (2-1). Bo Zeigler and Justin Williams had nine points apiece. Arnaldo Toro grabbed seven rebounds in addition to his five points.
Rider beats Hampton 90-75 behind Alled
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (AP) — Jordan Allen scored 21 points, including 5 of 12 3-pointers, and Rider surged in the second half to beat Hampton 90-75 in Friday night's season opener for both teams.
After 12 lead changes, the Broncs pulled ahead for good on Allen's final 3-pointer, which sparked a 14-4 run for a 75-66 lead with 4:48 to play. Rider finished with an 8-0 run to win its opener for the second straight year.
