The organization's fundraising director says locks were broken on a construction trailer at the site in Exeter between Monday evening and Tuesday morning, and everything inside was taken.
Cliff Tyler says the items include a $3,000 construction generator, two dozen nail guns, and circular saws worth $300.
Bradley Center deconstructed 1 luxury box at a time
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Dozens of Habitat for Humanity volunteers and workers have started the mammoth task of demolishing the Milwaukee Bucks' former arena.
The Bradley Center, which is next door to the new Fiserv Forum, is being deconstructed one locker and luxury suite at a time. The crews are saving furniture, equipment, fixtures and other items to be resold at Milwaukee County Habitat Re-Store shops.
Luxury suites are being stripped of their seats, counters and plumbing parts.

FLORENCE, S.C. – Fiesta fun will come to downtown Florence in celebration of Cinco de Mayo and in support of the Greater Florence Habitat for Humanity.
The Downtown Cinco de Mayo Fiesta will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of South Dargan Street. The event will include live music and food and drink booths. Admission is free, but proceeds from ticket sales will go toward Habitat for Humanity.

A North Side Madison neighborhood is getting an influx of new homes.
Habitat for Humanity of Dane County will break ground Tuesday on 12 homes on Tennyson and Eliot lanes near Lake View Elementary School.
Tennyson Ridge will be Habitat’s fifth planned community. The others are Twin Oaks on Madison’s Southeast Side, near McFarland; The Uplands in Sun Prairie; Northport Commons on Madison’s North Side; and Renaissance on the Park in Fitchburg.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- When the Cleveland Cavaliers hit the road for the playoffs, fans can still buy tickets to fill Quicken Loans Arena to cheer the team on.
This year, the proceeds from these often sold-out watch parties will go to Say Yes for Education and Habitat for Humanity. In 2017, the Cavaliers donated $875,000 to Habitat from the team's watch parties.
Habitat for Humanity Wisconsin River Area will build two single-family houses on the corner of North Dewey Avenue and Fourth Street, across the street from Seats Inc. in Reedsburg.
Central Westmoreland Habitat for Humanity has nearly finished repairing two houses on Jefferson Avenue in Greensburg, but the homes are still missing an important detail — residents.
The nonprofit organization is accepting applications from families who want to live in one of the two-bedroom homes.
In order to qualify, a family must be in need of affordable housing, able to make payments on a low-interest mortgage and willing to put in "sweat equity" by working to improve the home.

That’s why the organization is working on building up its bottom line while it nails down details of its next project.
During its organizational meeting Saturday, the Dixon Habitat board announced the location for its next home: 320 Custer Ave. It’s the group’s 26th home and the third of a six planned Habitat homes in that area of the city.

COLUMBUS – Habitat for Humanity of Columbus has declared 2018 as a recruiting year. The chapter had a good turnout for its Volunteer Sign Up Night on Thursday at Duster's.
Lori Peters, the chapter's executive director, said the chapter plans to build one house this year and two houses in 2019. With big plans ahead, the organization is in need of volunteers.

AKRON, Ohio — Habitat for Humanity of Summit County and its community partners will dedicate two houses to two families in Cuyahoga Falls at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25.
The event will mark the first time the nonprofit has dedicated homes in Cuyahoga Falls. The public is invited to attend the home dedication at 741 and 749 Magnolia Ave.
For more than a century, the Garfield building in north Rapid City served as a schoolhouse, but today, different lessons are being learned there: the lessons of homeownership.
In 2012, plans began for what’s now known as the Garfield Green Project, a mixed-income, mixed-housing development. The school itself would be converted into 12-unit apartment building while eight, single-family “Habitat for Humanity” homes would be constructed beside it.

The resale shop opened its doors to residents in a temporary location yesterday at 507 N. 1st St.
The Restore operates like a thrift store, or Goodwill, where donated items are sold and proceeds from the store are used to cover operational costs and administration for the organization.
For more than 25 years, Habitat for Humanity of Utah County has been improving the lives of individuals, families and communities in Utah. They have built new homes, renovated old homes and have completed community enhancement projects, critical home repairs and home beautification projects all around Utah County. Innumerable lives have been improved due to their efforts.

Several years ago, Morgane Brown saw a homeless woman leaving the river bottoms in the rain, pushing a stroller with a child in it. At that point, she wanted to become more involved.
Brown, 39, of Yuba City, is the administrative officer with Habitat for Humanity Yuba/Sutter. But she’s been volunteering with the Marysville-based organization for many years, as well as other local groups, such as Hands of Hope and the Salvation Army.
