WEST BROMWICH, England (AP) — Newcastle ended a run of four straight Premier League losses by coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 at West Bromwich Albion, whose winless run stretched to 13 games ahead of its likely appointment of Alan Pardew as manager.
Pardew, who will reportedly be hired on Wednesday, will inherit a side two points above the Premier League relegation zone.
Van La Parra strike sees Huddersfield past West Brom 1-0
HUDDERSFIELD, England (AP) — Rajiv van La Parra scored to give Huddersfield a 1-0 win over struggling West Bromwich Albion on Saturday in the Premier League.
Van La Parra's swerving, 30-yard effort in the 44th minute put the home side in control before Christopher Schindler was sent off in the second half. Van La Parra received the ball on the left before sending an unstoppable strike past Ben Foster and in off the crossbar.
Robson-Kanu sent off after scoring winner for West Brom
BURNLEY, England (AP) — Substitute Hal Robson-Kanu came on in the 63rd minute, scored the winner in the 71st and was sent off in the 83rd as West Bromwich Albion beat Burnley 1-0 on Saturday to maintain its perfect English Premier League start.
Robson-Kanu held off two Clarets defenders to fire home the only goal at Turf Moor, but he was then dismissed seven minutes from time when he caught Matt Lowton in the head with his elbow.
New signings pay off as West Brom beats Bournemouth 1-0
WEST BROMWICH, England (AP) — West Bromwich Albion's offseason signings made an impressive debut as the Baggies beat Bournemouth 1-0 in their English Premier League opener on Saturday.
Central defender Ahmed Hegazi headed the only goal at the Hawthorns while another newcomer, Jay Rodriguez, kept Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic busy in the first half.
Robson-Kanu gives West Brom 2-1 victory at Southampton
SOUTHAMPTON, England (AP) — Wales forward Hal Robson-Kanu struck a second-half winner as West Bromwich Albion came from a goal down to beat Southampton 2-1 in the English Premier League on Saturday.
Shane Long had put Southampton ahead in the 41st minute, only for Matt Phillips to equalize two minutes later in a game between two mid-table sides.
