CANBERRA, Australia (AP) — A 14-year-old girl who was the angelic face of an iconic Australian bushmen's hat brand was remembered by hundreds of mourners Friday after her suicide focused attention on the dangers of cyberbullying.
The memorial service for Amy "Dolly" Everett was held in the tiny Northern Territory town of Katherine near her family's cattle ranch. Most mourners dressed in her favorite color, blue, and many had driven hundreds of kilometers (miles) from distant ranches.
Adventure? Excitement? A Jedi craves not these things — and neither did Mark Hamill when he first signed on for a bizarre, low-budget space opera called "Star Wars."
The then-25-year-old actor, lucky to land a lead role in any movie in 1977, would have preferred to play the Han Solo part that went to Harrison Ford. Luke Skywalker was not only a little short for a Stormtrooper, he seemed a little bland for Hamill's taste.

‘Blade Runner 2049’ tops box office but still disappoints
LOS ANGELES (AP) — "Blade Runner 2049" may have been the top choice for moviegoers this weekend, but the long-anticipated sequel failed to generate the soaring box office returns industry watchers expected.
Despite positive reviews and certified star-power in Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling, the dystopian thriller took in $32.7 million during its debut weekend, which hardly makes a dent in its reported $150 million budget.
Harrison Ford insists his plane crash could never have put him off flying.
The 'Blade Runner 2049' actor broke his pelvis and ankle when his aircraft suffered engine failure and made an emergency landing in March 2015, but the scary incident didn't stop him from getting back into the cockpit because it is a "big part" of who he is.
He said: " "It was one time - and I didn't crash, the plane crashed. I didn't get right out of it, but I'm fine now, it took a while."
‘Blade Runner 2049’ pulls in older guys but few others
NEW YORK (AP) — "Blade Runner 2049" had the pedigree, the stars and the stellar reviews. But even though the highly touted sequel had seemingly everything going for it, something didn't click with audiences.
The big-budget, handsomely crafted sequel to the 1982 sci-fi classic opened surprisingly weak at the North American box office. According to studio estimates Sunday, "2049" grossed $31.5 million, a poor start for a movie that cost at least $150 million to make.
Carrie Fisher was supposed to take centre stage in 'Star Wars: Episode IX'.
The screen legend - who passed away last December - had returned to the franchise alongside fellow veterans Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill in the seventh installment of the series, 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' and had been filming 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' before her death.
Denis Villeneuve was "scared" about making 'Blade Runner 2049'.
The 50-year-old director helmed the much-discussed sequel to the 1982 sci-fi movie 'Blade Runner' - but he's admitted the challenge of making the film was both scary and fascinating.

Q&A: Ford and Gosling go head to head in ‘Blade Runner 2049’
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Harrison Ford has a running joke that he can't remember Ryan Gosling's name.
"I was delighted for a chance to work with the kid. What's his name?" Ford told The Associated Press earlier this year.
He did it again recently on a talk show, this time sitting next to Gosling.
"Ryan?" Ford asked his "Blade Runner 2049" co-star after a brief pause, dutifully playing the part of the "slightly aloof 75-year-old legend."
Bringing ‘Blade Runner’ back to life after 35 years
LOS ANGELES (AP) — It was dawn on the set of "Blade Runner 2049" and Harrison Ford and director Denis Villeneuve were swimming back to the shore together after an all-night shoot in a million-gallon water tank. It was cold in the water. It was cold outside. And it was just one night out of a dozen that they'd be spending their sleeping hours soaking wet to try to execute a set piece that even Ridley Scott thought too ambitious.
