Alabama’s Tagovailoa hurt in Missouri game
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa aggravated a right knee injury on a run.
Tagovailoa stayed on the ground for a while after sliding at the end of a run in the third quarter of the top-ranked Crimson Tide's game Saturday night against Missouri.
He trotted off the field but headed to Alabama's medical tent. His parents joined him in the tent.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Jerry Jeudy took a slant pass 34 yards on Alabama's first drive against Louisiana-Lafayette to set up a touchdown and Henry Ruggs III capped the Crimson Tide's second offensive possession with a 13-yard score.
Then freshman Jaylen Waddle returned a punt for another TD. Seven minutes, three Alabama receivers, three big plays on offense or special teams.

ATLANTA (AP) — Alabama's latest group of hotshot recruits delivered on college football's biggest stage.
And the Crimson Tide needed every big play from them.
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa capped a second-half comeback with a 41-yard touchdown pass in overtime to fellow freshman DeVonta Smith in Monday night's 26-23 win over Georgia to give the Tide a fifth national championship in nine years.

TUSCALOOSA -- Eyes staring upward at the ball hurling toward the ground, Henry Ruggs III dropped his hands.
Nick Saban’s ideal punt returners keep their hands up, able to look at their fingertips to better secure the catch and avoid creating a “blind spot” when the ball drops from eye level to hip-level.

TUSCALOOSA – The first-half clock ticked inside seven minutes. Alabama held a 24-point lead against Ole Miss but, here, faced third-and-19 from the Rebels 23. Jalen Hurts stomped his feet, clapped his hands and called for the football.
Defensive end Victor Evans swatted aside Crimson Tide left tackle Jonah Williams, flushing Hurts from the pocket. Head up and eyes fixed downfield, Hurts rolled to his left, approaching the line of scrimmage with the tantalizing option to tuck and run.
