Lyon warms up for Barca with 2-1 win over Guingamp in France
LYON, France (AP) — Lyon warmed up for its Champions League meeting with Barcelona by beating Guingamp 2-1 on Friday to strengthen its hold on third place in the French league.
Goals from Martin Terrier and captain Nabil Fekir were enough for Lyon to move three points behind second-place Lille and six ahead of Saint-Etienne.
Terrier, who had earlier had a goal ruled out for offside, scored with a fine finish on the rebound after Houssem Aouar tried his luck from distance in the 15th minute.

The pair — 20 and 21, respectively — have been in the spotlight since the start of the season and their partnership was instrumental in helping Lyon to a 2-2 draw against City in the Champions League on Tuesday.

PARIS (AP) — Monaco scored an injury-time penalty to beat Saint-Etienne 1-0 at home and move into second place in the French league on Saturday.
Brazilian defender Fabinho coolly slotted home the spot kick after attacking midfielder Thomas Lemar was fouled by right back Mathieu Debuchy.
The win moved deposed champion Monaco two points above Lyon in the chase for an automatic Champions League place.
Lyon is one point ahead of fourth-place Marseille ahead of next weekend's final round.
MONACO (AP) — Lyon won at Dijon 5-2 and moved within one point of second-place Monaco in the French league on Friday.
Lyon's sixth straight league win moved it three points ahead of fourth-place Marseille, which is at home to struggling Lille on Saturday.
