Livers scored all 12 of his points in the first half, and the ninth-ranked Wolverines cruised to an easy 83-55 victory over Chattanooga on Friday. Livers made all four of his shots from the field in the first half and only missed one for the game.
Michigan routs Villanova in championship rematch
VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) — Charles Matthews scored 19 points, Ignas Brazdeikis had 18 and No. 18 Michigan beat No. 8 Villanova 73-46 in a national championship game rematch Wednesday night.
Villanova captured its second title in three years with a 79-62 victory over Michigan in April but was completely overmatched in the second game at its newly renovated Pavilion.
Eric Paschall scored 10 points and Phil Booth had nine for the Wildcats (2-1).

Before Michigan took the court against Iowa on Tuesday night, he looked freshman forward Isaiah Livers in the eye and told him he was going to have a good game.
Livers did better than that. He turned in the best performances of his young career with 13 points on 5-for-6 shooting and several momentous 3-pointers in Michigan's 75-68 victory at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
