LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — Scottie James scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half and pulled down nine rebounds, Caleb Homesley added 14 points and 11 boards and Liberty defeated Jacksonville 69-53 Saturday, improving to 3-0 in its first season in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
The Flames (14-4) led 35-24 at halftime and pushed the lead to as many as 13 points after the break. Jacksonville erased most of that to pull within 47-42 on a Jace Hogan free throw with 7:35 left to play.
Davis scores 19 points to lead Jacksonville over Kennesaw St
KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — Tyreese Davis reached career highs with 19 points and 12 rebounds and JD Notae triple-doubled to lead Jacksonville to a 90-70 victory over Kennesaw State on Wednesday night.

Aamahne Santos scored the first five points of the game as Jacksonville jumped to a 7-0 lead. The Blue Hose used a 12-0 run to take a 29-21 lead they never gave up.
It was 38-33 at the half and the lead was 11 after Cory Hightower's basket midway through the second half.

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — James Scott and Nick Masterson scored 20 points apiece and Kennesaw State beat Jacksonville 78-54 on Saturday, for its third straight win.
Jordan Jones and Tyler Hooker added 12 points each for the Owls (9-17, 5-6 Atlantic Sun). Jones led the team with nine rebounds.

Johnson, Goodwin put FGCU in control of A-Sun with 80-55 win
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Zach Johnson and Brandon Goodwin combined for 49 points and Florida Golf Coast pulled away from Jacksonville State for an 80-55 win on Saturday night, running the Eagles' winning streak to 11, their longest at the Division I level.
Johnson had 25 points, Goodwin 24 and Dinero Mercurius 11 as FGCU (18-8, 9-0 Atlantic Sun) picked up its 100th conference win since moving up from D-II in 2008. Twice the Eagles won 14 in a row, the last time 11 years ago.

Florida Gulf Coast (16-8, 7-0 Atlantic Sun) ended the game with an 8-0 run after JD Notae put the Dolphins ahead 62-60 with 3:19 to play. Jacksonville missed its last eight shots.
Brandon Goodwin made back-to-back layups and FGCU led 60-49 with 6:52 left before Jacksonville took the lead with a 13-0 run with Notae scoring nine.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Cody Helgeland scored 20 points and Jalyn Hinton scored 16 with 10 rebounds and Jacksonville dismantled NCCAA member Trinity Baptist 105-48 on Tuesday night.

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — Donte Wright scored 22 points and grabbed four rebounds as South Carolina State beat Jacksonville 83-74 on Saturday afternoon.
Wright was 7 of 16 from the floor including five 3-pointers for the Bulldogs (4-9). James Richardson added 15 points and Ian Kinard had 11 points and five rebounds.
The Bulldogs averaged 42 percent shooting (28 of 67) and scored 20 points on 26 tries at the free-throw line as Jacksonville committed 24 personal fouls.
Bell, Nze spark Milwaukee to 62-52 comeback at Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Jeremiah Bell scored 10 of his 14 points after halftime, Bryce Nze recorded his third career double-double and Milwaukee broke away to a 62-52 win over Jacksonville on Tuesday night.
Nze scored 13 points and hauled down 12 rebounds and blocked four shots. Brock Stull scored 12 points for the Panthers (6-3) making four 3-pointers, three in the second half.
Jacksonville (3-7) grabbed a quick early lead, making six of their first eight shots, and led by as many as nine.
Davis guides Bethune-Cookman past Jacksonville 77-66
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Shawntrez Davis posted his fourth double-double of the season with 28 points and 10 rebounds and Bethune-Cookman beat Jacksonville 77-66 on Thursday night.
Davis made 11 of 16 from the field for the Wildcats (4-3), who picked up a fourth win in November for the first time in school history. Malik Maitland added 16 points, four assists and three steals for Bethune-Cookman, while Isaiah Bailey contributed 14 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
Wright St. grabs early lead and beats Jacksonville 68-44
DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Grant Benzinger scored 16 points and Mark Hughes added 14 points and Wright State beat Jacksonville 68-44 on Saturday on the second day of the Wright State Tournament.
Justin Mitchell added 13 points and Jaylon Hall totaled 11 for Wright State (3-3) which now owns a three-game winning streak. The loss ends Jacksonville's two-game win streak.
Jacksonville beats NAIA Webber 88-70
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Devin Harris had a career-high 23 points to go with 11 rebounds and five assists and Jacksonville beat NAIA member Webber International 88-70 on Monday night.
The Dolphins (1-3) never and led 46-28 at halftime. The Warriors had a 10-0 run to cut the deficit to 57-49 early in the second half and they kept the margin near 10 until the final five minutes when Jacksonville pulled away for good.
