Roslovic gets 1st hat trick, Jets rout Ducks 9-3
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — Jack Roslovic is glad he's a quick healer.
Roslovic had his first career hat trick as the Winnipeg Jets scored a franchise-record six goals in the first period on their way to a 9-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday night.
Roslovic had left the morning skate because of cramps and was a game-time decision. But the third-year forward rebounded to score three power-play goals and add an assist.
Lemieux scores twice, Jets end year with 4-3 win over Oilers
EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — In one game, Brendan Lemieux doubled his NHL goal total.
Lemieux scored twice to give him four career goals and the Winnipeg Jets ended 2018 on an upbeat note, defeating the slumping Edmonton Oilers 4-3 Monday night.
The 22-year-old son of former NHL star Claude Lemieux entered with two goals in 31 games.
Scheifele’s SO goal caps Jets’ rally past Rangers
NEW YORK (AP) — The Winnipeg Jets knew it was only a matter of time until their relentless offensive would eventually break through and overcome a three-goal deficit.
Mark Scheifele scored to start Winnipeg's third-period comeback and then got the deciding goal in the shootout as the Jets rallied to beat the New York Rangers 4-3 Sunday night.
"We know we got a lot of skill," Scheifele said. "We know we can put three goals in a period."
Laine nets 5 goals, Jets defeat Blues 8-4
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Patrik Laine scored five goals Saturday in the Winnipeg Jets' 8-4 victory at St. Louis, two short of 97-year-old NHL record.
It was the 61st five-goal game in league history. Darryl Sittler of the Toronto Maple Leafs was the last player to score six goals in a game, on April 22, 1976, against Boston.
Brandon Tanev, Blake Wheeler, and Jack Roslovic also scored for the Jets, who snapped their first two-game losing streak of the season.
Scheifele has 3 points, Jets beat Devils 5-2
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — Mark Scheifele believes things are beginning to come together for the Winnipeg Jets.
Scheifele had two goals and an assist to lead the Jets to a 5-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Sunday.
Nikolaj Ehlers added a goal and an assist, and Jack Roslovic and Mathieu Perreault also scored for the Jets. Connor Hellebuyck stopped 34 shots.
Jets beat Wild 4-1 to take 2-0 series lead
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — Minnesota Wild coach Bruce Boudreau is keeping it simple.
"You've got to win four," Boudreau said after the Winnipeg Jets beat the Wild 4-1 on Friday night to take a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference first-round series.
Connor scores twice, Jets beat Blackhawks 6-2
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — Kyle Connor hasn't looked ahead all season and he's not about to start doing it now.
The 21-year-old rookie scored twice Thursday night to reach 25 goals, and the Winnipeg Jets rebounded from a quick deficit for a 6-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.
"Going into the season I didn't really set any expectations numbers-wise," said Connor, who has 44 points in 65 games. "I just went into it with an open mind and try to work hard and improve every game.
Hellebuyck gets 5th shutout, Jets beat Avalanche 3-0
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — Connor Hellebuyck gave his teammates all the credit for helping look good as he picked up his latest shutout.
Hellebuyck made 25 saves for his fifth shutout of the season and the 11th of his career as the Winnipeg Jets beat the Colorado Avalanche 3-0 on Saturday night.
"They're bringing it every night and you can tell," Hellebuyck said. "Guys are getting a little banged up, that means they're blocking shots and doing the right things. My hat is off to my teammates."
