Peatling leads E. Washington past N. Colorado 88-78 in OT
CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Mason Peatling drove for a layup to open the scoring in overtime and Eastern Washington easily won the extra period to knock off Northern Colorado 88-78 on Saturday afternoon.
Tyler Kidd followed with a 3 and completed the scoring with two free throws as the Eagles outscored Northern Colorado 13-3 in OT.
Montana St. pulls away late to beat Eastern Washington 74-66
BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Harald Frey scored eight of his 22 points during a 10-2 run in the final two minutes to help Montana State beat Eastern Washington 74-66 on Thursday night.
Jesse Hunt's layup gave Eastern Washington a 66-64 lead with 2:35 to play. Frey answered with a 3-pointer, a jumper and three free throws and the Bobcats led 72-66. The Eagles had three turnovers and missed three shots during the stretch.
Davison erupts for 41, Eastern Washington dumps NAU 82-64
CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Jacob Davison scored a career-high 41 points with seven 3-pointers and Eastern Washington beat Northern Arizona 82-64 on Monday night for its third straight win.
Aiken leads Eastern Washington over Southern Utah 82-79
CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Kim Aiken Jr. set career highs with 24 points and 11 rebounds as Eastern Washington rallied to beat Southern Utah 82-79 on Saturday.
Aiken's 3-pointer with 4:39 left cut the Eagles' deficit to 68-67 and sparked a 15-2 run capped by an Aiken free throw at 79-70 with 40 seconds left. The Thunderbirds closed back to 81-79 on Brandon Better's 3-pointer with two seconds left.
Eastern Washington recovers to beat Sac State 94-92 in OT
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Jesse Hunt scored 22 points with 17 rebounds and six assists and Eastern Washington pulled out a 94-92 win over Sacrament State in overtime on Saturday night after blowing a 10-point lead in the final 92 seconds of regulation.
Jacob Davison added 19 points for the Eagles (6-13, 4-4 Big Sky Conference), including a 3-point play with 30 seconds to play for a 91-88 lead and two free throws with 13 seconds left that made it 93-90.
Tyler Hall sets Big Sky scoring mark for Montana St. in loss

CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Mason Peatling scored 16 points and ignited a closing 11-2 run to help Eastern Washington defeat Idaho State 65-55 on Monday and end a seven-game losing streak against Division-I opponents.
With the Eagles (3-10, 1-1 Big Sky Conference) clinging to a one-point lead as the clock dipped under three minutes, Peatling turned a perfect pick-and-roll with Tyler Kidd into a 3-point play for a 57-53 lead.
Benzel hits 7 3s, E. Washington beats NAIA Corban 92-73
CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Cody Benzel scored 23 points, including a career-high tying seven 3-pointers, to lead five Eastern Washington players in double figures and the Eagles beat NAIA Corban 92-73 on Friday.
Tyler Kidd and Jess Hunt had 14 points apiece, Austin Fadal scored 13 and Jacob Davison added 11 for Eastern Washington. The Eagles (2-9) snapped a six-game skid.
Daum gets 1,000th board in S Dakota St 74-64 win over EWU
CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Mike Daum rebounded the last shot of the game to complete his 27-point, 11-rebound double-double with the 1,000th rebound of his career and South Dakota State defeated Eastern Washington 74-64 on Tuesday night.
Daum, who is averaging more than 24 points and 10 rebounds, is only the third Summit League player to record 1,000 rebounds.
Skyler Flatten had 20 points for the Jackrabbits (10-4), David Jenkins added 12 and Tevin King had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Green Bay trio sparks OT win over Eastern Washington
CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — ShanQuan Hemphill and reserve Jayquan McCloud scored 19 points apiece and Cody Schwartz came off the bench to score 18 to help Green Bay turn back Eastern Washington 82-78 in overtime on Friday night.
Sandy Cohen III, who finished with nine points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, three blocked shots and a steal for the Phoenix (2-2), scored on a layup with eight seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Bogdan Bliznyuk set an NCAA single-season record with his 74th consecutive free throw Saturday and Eastern Washington made 16 3-pointers to beat Northern Arizona 85-68.
Bliznyuk, who passed Gary Buchanan's 73 consecutive free throws for Villanova in the 2000-01 season, finished with 15 points and 10 assists on his Senior Day. The Eagles (18-13, 13-5 Big Sky) ended the regular season tied with Weber State and will have a first-round bye in the conference tournament.

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Bogdan Bliznyuk drilled a late 3-pointer to put Eastern Washington in front for good, sending the Eagles to a 74-69 Big Sky Conference victory over Idaho State Saturday night.
Bliznyuk scored 17 points, making him the fifth player in Big Sky history to score more than 2,000 career points.
The Eagles (16-13, 11-5) earn a sweep of their road trip, winning at Weber State Thursday. EWU hosts Southern Utah and Northern Arizona to close out the regular season.

OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Bogdan Bliznyuk scored 27 points, 19 in the second half, and Eastern Washington beat Weber State with a 75-70 victory on Thursday night that ended the Wildcats' nine-game winning streak.
The Wildcats (19-8, 12-3), with alum and Portland Trail Blazer Damian Lillard in attendance, dropped a game behind first-place Montana (13-2), which was idle, in the Big Sky Conference while the Eagles (15-13, 10-5) moved to within a game of third-place Idaho (11-4), which lost at Idaho State.
Bliznyuk, E Washington end Montana streak at 13, 74-65
CHENEY, Wash. (AP) — Bogdan Bliznyuk scored 19 points with six rebounds and five assists and Eastern Washington ended Montana's 13-game winning streak 74-65 on Thursday night.
Benas Griciunas added 14 points on 6-for-6 shooting and Jacob Davison 12 for the Eagles (13-13, 8-5 Big Sky Conference), who shot 56 percent for the game.
Bliznyuk scores 40, E. Washington tops Sacramento St. 74-54
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Bogdan Bliznyuk continued his climb up the Big Sky scoring ladder, pouring in 40 points on 15-of-18 shooting and Eastern Washington turned back Sacramento State in the second half for a 74-54 victory Thursday night.
The win holds the Eagles (12-11, 7-3) in third place in the Big Sky behind undefeated Montana and 7-2 Weber State.
Utah routs Eastern Washington 85-69
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Coming off a bad game in Las Vegas, David Collette did everything in his power to prevent a repeat performance.
Collette only played 18 minutes for Utah on Friday night, but he dominated every second he was on the floor. The senior forward scored a season-high 24 points on 11-of-12 shooting to help the Utes sprint away for an 85-69 victory over Eastern Washington.
Collette totaled just nine points in an 85-58 loss to UNLV on Wednesday.
