SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Joe Pavelski was in the right place at the right time at a big moment for the San Jose Sharks.
Pavelski snapped a tie 13:06 into the third period, helping San Jose top the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 on Saturday night.
Pavelski, Logan Couture and Timo Meier each had a goal and an assist as the Sharks won for the seventh time in eight games. Martin Jones stopped 31 shots.
Boyle gets shutout, Ducks top Canucks 1-0 in Murray’s debut
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Kevin Boyle made 35 saves in his first career start and the Anaheim Ducks beat the Vancouver Canucks 1-0 Wednesday night in general manager Bob Murray's first game as interim coach.
Jakob Silfverberg scored to help the Ducks end a seven-game losing streak, a skid which prompted Murray to fire coach Randy Carlyle on Sunday and take over for the rest of the season.
Jacob Markstrom made 21 saves for the Canucks, who have lost four straight road games.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Vancouver Canucks center Bo Horvat credited veteran goalie Jacob Markstrom with Saturday's win over the Calgary Flames.
Markstrom stopped 44 of 47 shots and put up three more saves in the shootout, leading Vancouver to a 4-3 victory over the Flames.
"We couldn't have done it without Marky tonight," Horvat said. "He was absolutely sensational, made key saves at unbelievable times of the hockey game and he was a stud in the shootout again. So big credit to him."

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — The Arizona Coyotes kept relinquishing one-goal leads, letting the Vancouver Canucks stick around.
Richard Panik gave the Coyotes one final advantage — and a victory.
Panik scored his second goal of the game with 50 seconds left in overtime to lift Arizona to a 4-3 victory on Thursday night.
Panik added an assist, and Nick Cousins and Conor Garland also scored for the Coyotes, who got 33 saves from Darcy Kuemper.
Horvat, Canucks beat Blues 5-1
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Jacob Markstrom turned in another solid start Thursday night, and then moved on.
"There's another game in two days, that's what I'm focusing about," he said.
Markstrom made 29 saves to lead the Vancouver Canucks to a 5-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues.
Bo Horvat and Jake Virtanen each had a goal and an assist for Vancouver (17-17-4), which has won three of four. Adam Gaudette, Josh Leivo and Loui Eriksson also scored.
Boeser’s 3-point game leads Canucks past Oilers 4-2
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Bo Horvat says the Vancouver Canucks knew the power-play points would come eventually.
"We have a lot of sharp shooters out there and a lot of guys who can put the puck in the net, so it was just a matter of time before they started flooding in," Horvat said.
Brock Boeser had three power-play points and the Canucks defeated the Edmonton Oilers 4-2 Sunday night.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Canucks coach Travis Green believes his team benefited from some lucky bounces against the slumping Philadelphia Flyers.
Brock Boeser had a goal and an assist to lead Vancouver to a 5-1 win over Philadelphia on Saturday night.
"It didn't feel like a 5-1 game by any means, but we'll take it for sure," Green said.
Vancouver went 3-8-3 in November, but have turned things around this month with a 4-2-1 start.
Canucks rally in the third period to beat Blue Jackets 3-2
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — None of Vancouver's three goals on Tuesday night were particularly pretty. Two bounced in off skates, and the other caromed into the net off the backside of Columbus goalie Joonas Korpisalo.
The Canucks will take them. After trailing most of the game, they scored all three in the third period to beat Columbus 3-2 and win their third straight game after losing 12 of 13.
Boeser’s hat trick leads Canucks over Blues 6-1
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Brock Boeser didn't need much help during a breakout 2017-18 season. Now he's getting plenty from another star rookie in Elias Pettersson.

Lundqvist ties Plante on NHL wins list, Rangers edge Canucks
NEW YORK (AP) — Henrik Lundqvist stopped 25 shots to lead the surging New York Rangers to a 2-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night.
Filip Chytil and Brett Howden scored to help Lundqvist get his 437th career win, tying Jacque Plante for seventh place on the NHL's all-time list. The Rangers improved to 6-0-1 in the last seven.
Lundqvist made two big saves on Vancouver's rookie sensation Elias Pettersson in the closing seconds to preserve the win.
Granlund scores in shootout, Canucks beat Golden Knights 3-2
LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Vancouver Canucks celebrated their annual Father's Trip with a victory in Las Vegas.
Markus Granlund scored in the shootout and the Canucks rejoiced on their special night on the Las Vegas Strip after defeating the Golden Knights 3-2 Wednesday night.
"It was a gutty performance by a lot of our guys tonight," Vancouver coach Travis Green said. "I like how our guys responded and gutted it out. The guys played hard tonight."
Horvat scores in overtime, Canucks top Bruins 2-1
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Vancouver Canucks coach Travis Green wanted his two top forwards off the ice for a line change. Bo Horvat and Brock Boeser didn't listen, and Green was glad.
The pair teamed up to score the game-winning goal in overtime.
Horvat scored at 3:12 of the extra period, off an assist from Boeser, and the Canucks edged the Boston Bruins 2-1 on Saturday night.
"(I was) screaming at them to change then telling them great job after the goal," Green said.
Golden Knights edge Canucks 5-4 in a shootout
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Shea Theodore opted for a simple approach on his shootout attempt.
Theodore scored in the tiebreaker to give the Vegas Golden Knights a 5-4 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night.
Theodore, the fourth Vegas shooter, beat Jacob Markstrom on a backhand. The 26-year-old defenseman, who is from the Vancouver suburb of Langley, improved to 2 for 2 on shootouts.
