New coach Matt LaFleur announced the decision Friday, answering one of his biggest questions just three days after being hired.
Packers’ Davante Adams questionable for Lions game
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Packers receiver Davante Adams is questionable for Green Bay's season finale against the Detroit Lions because of a knee injury.
Adams missed the first two days of practice this week, though he did say that he was optimistic that would be able to play. Adams needs to two catches and 134 yards receiving to set single-season franchise marks in each category.
Receivers Cobb, Allison out again for Packers vs. 49ers
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The Green Bay Packers will be without receivers Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison against the San Francisco 49ers because of hamstring injuries.
It's the second straight week that the Packers will be without Cobb and Allison. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will have to rely again on rookies Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown behind top wideout Davante Adams.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The Green Bay Packers say starting receivers Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison are questionable for their game Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers.
Both wideouts have hamstring injuries. Cobb has missed the last two games while Allison has missed one. Cobb and Allison have been limited participants in practice this week.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Every week, the Green Bay Packers are like any other NFL team, sending video of officials' calls they didn't agree with to the league office for review.
This week's will have one that undoubtedly the league already knows the team is unhappy with: Linebacker Clay Matthews' controversial roughing-the-passer penalty late in the fourth quarter, a call that wiped out a Packers interception and allowed the Minnesota Vikings to escape Lambeau Field with a 29-29 tie on Sunday.

Trading back from No. 14 to No. 27 with the New Orleans Saints to add the Saints’ 2019 first-round pick, then trading back up to No. 18 with the Seattle Seahawks, Gutekunst landed Alexander to add a critical piece that the Packers’ much-maligned defense needed in the secondary.

But what Green Bay also got by selecting Louisville's Jaire Alexander at No. 18 overall on Thursday night is a skilled defender and kick returner.
"We think he's versatile," Packers director of scouting Jon-Eric Sullivan said. "He can run — he's a 4.3 guy. He's got really good twitch, lateral agility. So, we do think he can play inside. He's very instinctive."
