Daytona International Speedway announced Saturday that all reserved grandstand seats have been purchased for the 61st running of "The Great American Race."

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Houston Texans star J.J. Watt will serve as the grand marshal for the Daytona 500, making him the first NFL player to give the command for drivers to starts their engines before NASCAR's most famous race.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Country music singer Jake Owen will perform a pre-race concert at the Daytona 500.
Owen will take the stage ahead of the 61st running of the "Great American Race" at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 17.
A native Floridian, Owen featured Daytona Beach in his 2013 hit "Beachin.'"
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Country music star Jake Owen's participation in his first Web.com Tour event has prompted a $10,000 donation by the Nashville Golf Open to his namesake foundation.
The tournament announced the donation in a statement Sunday.
Owen had received a sponsor exemption to the event. He shot 14-over-par 86 in each of the first two rounds and missed the cut.
Less than a day after Jake Owen premiered his new video for “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” at an exclusive event at the CMA Theater in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the mini-movie is now available to view online.

"I started playing when I was 15, writing music and the songs," said Paslay on Tuesday when reached by phone in Tennessee. "I've been in Nashville for 15 years. When I got here, I thought everyone wrote the songs they sing. ... I'm just glad they're singing my songs."

Fans of Jake Owen will be able to see him in North Augusta this May for the first concert at SRP Park, the new Augusta GreenJackets baseball stadium.
On May 19, as part of his "Life's Whatcha Make It Tour 2018," Owen will be playing at SRP Park, according to a press release from the GreenJackets. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. A VIP ticket sale will open up to season ticket holders on March 1 at 10:00 a.m.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Country singer Jake Owen will play in the Web.com Tour's Nashville Golf Open next May on a sponsor's exemption.
Owen, who has played in several PGA Tour pro-ams, will compete as an amateur. The exemption was announced Monday.
The singer says he's truly honored and knows how hard golfers work to play in these events. Owen says he can't wait for May 21, when the event benefiting Brandt Snedeker's foundation begins.
