HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Moses Greenwood had 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead five Southeastern Louisiana players in double figures as the Lions easily defeated McNeese State 88-52 on Saturday.
Parker Edwards added 14 points for the Lions. Marlain Veal chipped in 11, Kajon Brown scored 10 and Von Julien had 10. Veal also had seven assists for the Lions.
Southeastern Louisiana (13-13, 9-4 Southland Conference) posted a season-high 16 3-pointers.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) — Kevon Harris had 22 points as Stephen F. Austin defeated McNeese State 67-57 on Wednesday night.
Harris made 10 of 11 from the free-throw line and added nine rebounds.

Delaney helps Sam Houston State win 11th straight
HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — Cameron Delaney scored 16 points, Kai Mitchell and RJ Smith added 14 each and Sam Houston State pushed its win streak to 11 games with a 77-62 defeat of McNeese Wednesday night.
McNeese came as close as five points early in the second half and James Harvey cut the SHSU lead to 65-56 with a pair of free throws, but Mitchell hit a jump shot with 6:13 remaining and the Bearkats led by double digits the rest of the way.
Barrett records double-double, leads Lamar to 84-75 win
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Christian Barrett totaled 17 points while pulling down 10 rebounds as Lamar took its first victory at McNeese's new home court, beating the Cowboys 84-75 on Saturday.
Nick Garth and Jordan Hunter added 16 points apiece for Lamar (11-11, 4-5 Southland Conference), which has won three of its last four games. Hunter also dished out eight assists. Josh Nzeakor chipped in 12 points.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Roydell Brown scored a career-high 28 points, James Harvey added 22 points and McNeese defeated Houston Baptist 79-73 on Saturday.
Brown added 15 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season and made 12 of 15 free throws for the Cowboys (7-13, 3-4 Southland Conference).
Stephen O'Suji had 17 points and Ian DuBose scored 14 to go with nine rebounds for Houston Baptist (5-13, 1-6).
Veal, Julien lead SE Louisiana past McNeese 76-69
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Marlain Veal hit five 3-pointers and scored 27 points, making all eight of his free throws in the final 47 seconds, to help Southeast Louisiana hold off McNeese 76-69 on Saturday.
Veal matched his season high by sinking 5 of 8 from 3-point range and 10 of 11 at the free-throw line for the Lions (6-12, 2-3 Southland Conference). Moses Greenwood added 14 points and nine rebounds, while Von Julien and Brandon Gonzalez scored 10 apiece.
Abilene Christian tops McNeese 73-72 behind Ricks, Lewis
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Payten Ricks hit five 3-pointers, scored 19 points and had six assists, Jaren Lewis added 15 points with five assists, and Abilene Christian held off McNeese 73-72 on Wednesday night for coach Joe Golding's 100th career win.
Hayden Farquhar scored 12 off the bench and B.J. Maxwell added 10 points with three steals for the Wildcats (13-3, 2-1 Southland Conference), who shot 50 percent overall and led 39-36 at halftime.
Northwestern State rallies to beat McNeese 66-61
NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Ishmael Lane had 17 points and 12 rebounds on Saturday and Northwestern State rallied late and held on for a 66-61 win over McNeese.
The Demons (6-9, 1-1 Southland Conference) used a 14-3 run to take a 60-54 lead on Brian White's jumper with 58 seconds left in the game. The Cowboys (5-10, 1-1) scored four quick points to get the deficit down to two, but White answered with a layup and Lane and Malik Metoyer each made a pair of free throws to secure the win.
Brown leads hot-shooting McNeese past Incarnate Word 88-77
SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Roydell Brown scored 23 points with 10 rebounds, Shamarkus Kennedy added 20 points and eight boards and McNeese beat Incarnate Word 88-77 in a Southland Conference opener Wednesday night.
The victory was the first for McNeese (5-9, 1-0) away from home this season and its second consecutive win. It was Brown's seventh double-double of the season.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — James Harvey came off the bench to score 19 points and lead a McNeese rally to beat North Carolina Central 77-61 on Thursday night to halt a three-game skid.
Malik Hines added 15 points and Roydell Brown had 12 with 11 rebounds for McNeese (3-6).
The Cowboys were just 2 of 15 from deep while North Carolina Central was 9 of 24, but McNeese made 21 more free throws than the Eagles.
McNeese beats D-II Mississippi College 80-42
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — James Harvey and Will Robinson scored 14 points each, and McNeese beat Division II Mississippi College 80-42 on Friday night.
The game was close for the first eight minutes and the Cowboys (2-3) pulled away with 14 straight points to lead 25-11. The Choctaws answered with four points and McNeese scored another 10 straight and led 37-16 at the break. The Cowboys had runs of 10 and 11 straight in the second half to nearly double their advantage.
Loyola New Orleans upends McNeese 79-78, spoils home opener

LAKE CHARLES — McNeese State was unable to cash in on a late comeback bid in a 74-69 loss to Southeastern Louisiana Saturday at Burton Coliseum.
“We have to finish games better,” said junior forward Quatarrius Wilson, who had 20 points and 14 rebounds in the defeat. “We have to close them out. Not only that, we have to play harder defense in the first half of games.”

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Brandon Goldsmith scored a career-high 19 points, Raasean Davis had a double-double and North Carolina Central defeated McNeese State 77-71 on Thursday night after blowing a 19-point lead in the second half.
Davis had 15 points and a career-high 13 rebounds and Pablo Rivas had 17 points for the Eagles (5-8), who ended a three-game losing streak.
James Harvey had 16 points and Jacob Ledoux 14 for the Bulldogs (2-6).
Harvey leads McNeese in 103-79 rout of Southern-New Orleans
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — James Harvey hit five 3-pointers and scored 15 points to lead seven players into double-figure scoring as McNeese routed NAIA Southern University at New Orleans, 103-79 on Saturday.
Harvey was 5 of 8 from behind the three-point line and missed his only attempt from inside the arc.
The Cowboys are undefeated at home after a win over Ecclesia College. All three of their losses have come against Division I competition on the road.
McNeese beats Champion Baptist College 85-48
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — LaBarrius Hill scored seven of his 12 points in the first half and McNeese rolled to an 85-48 victory over Champion Baptist College on Wednesday.
Hill made all four of his field-goal attempts and was 4 of 5 from the line. Kalob Ledoux and James Harvey each added 10 points for the Cowboys (2-3), who shot 51 percent from the floor and had all 14 players score. Quatarrius Wilson grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds and chipped in six points.
McNeese roughs up Ecclesia in 101-54 home-opening win
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Kalob Ledoux scored 20 points and Jarren Greenwood scored 16 points and McNeese beat NCCAA member Ecclesia 101-54 on Monday night in the Cowboys' home opener.
Ecclesia was competitive early taking an 8-2 lead with the help of a pair of 3-pointers from Dequcelan Bagsby before McNeese (1-1) went on a 13-0 run to take over the game with Greenwood scoring seven points during that stretch.
Thomas has 28 points, Texas A&M-CC beats McNeese St. 73-66
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Rashawn Thomas had 28 points and 13 rebounds as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi held off a late charge to beat McNeese State 73-66 on Saturday.
The victory keeps the Islanders (14-9, 7-5) in fifth place in the Southland Conference standings.
Thomas hit 11 of 21 field goal attempts. Ehab Amin added 15 points and 11 rebounds and Kareem South chipped in 10 for the Islanders, who have won five straight.

BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) — Colton Weisbrod had 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead Lamar to a dominating 77-57 win over McNeese State on Saturday in the 100th meeting between the schools.
Weisbrod was 10 of 10 from the free-throw line and grabbed six offensive boards. Josh Nzeakor was 6 of 10 from the floor for 12 points with seven rebounds for Lamar (14-9, 6-4 Southland Conference), which has won three of the last four.
The Cardinals are just 1.5 games behind conference leader Sam Houston State.
McNeese State cruises to 82-72 win over Central Arkansas
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Freshman Kalob Ledoux scored a career-high 17 points and led five players in double figures as McNeese State snapped a three-game skid, cruising to 82-72 win over Central Arkansas on Wednesday night.
Ledoux was 6 of 13 from the floor including five 3-pointers for the Cowboys (6-11, 3-3 Southland). Jamaya Burr added 15 points and nine assists, Stephen Ugochukwu had 14 points and eight rebounds and Jarren Greenwood and James Harvey had 11 points apiece.

HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Moses Greenwood had 19 points, Davon Hayes scored nine of his 16 points in the final five minutes and Southeastern Louisiana beat McNeese State 79-75 on Sunday.
Kalob Ledoux hit a 3-pointer capped a 15-6 run and gave McNeese its first lead of the game, 64-61 with 6:46 left. Hayes scored the last five points during a 12-4 spurt and SLU (11-8, 4-2 Southland Conference) led 73-68 with three minutes remaining.
Sam Houston St. gets 1st league win, beats McNeese St. 74-67
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Christopher Galbreath Jr. had 10 points and 11 rebounds as Sam Houston State, the pre-season favorite to win the Southland Conference, picked up its first league victory, knocking off McNeese State 74-67 on Thursday night.
The Bearkats (10-6, 1-2) winners of five of six prior to conference play, dropped their first two games to Houston Baptist and Central Arkansas.
McNeese St. pulls away from Stephen F. Austin for 69-54 win
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Stephen Ugochukwu had 18 points and eight rebounds while Jamaya Burr had 14 points and five steals in leading McNeese State past Stephen F. Austin 69-54 on Monday night.
McNeese State (5-8, 2-0 Southland) led 27-25 at halftime and emerged from the break with a 10-2 run capped by James Harvey's 3.
Burr hit a 3 at the 13:18 mark and Kalob Ledoux added a 3 two minutes later and the Cowboys led 48-32, and McNeese State maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
Greenwood leads McNeese St. to 80-78 win over LSU-Alexandria
LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Jarren Greenwood had 19 points, including five free throws in the closing seconds, as McNeese State held on for an 80-78 victory over NAIA LSU-Alexandria on Saturday.
The Cowboys were ahead 70-62 with 5:16 remaining when Brando Moss slammed home a dunk to start an 8-1 run and LSU-Alexandria closed to 71-70 with 2:16 left. McNeese State made nine free throws down the stretch to hold on for the win.
