NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Abdul Lewis had 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting and Anthony Tarke made 5 of 6 free throws in the final 16 seconds to help NJIT beat Kennesaw State 74-71 on Monday night after blowing a 21-point lead.
Tarke finished with 18 points and eight rebounds and Lewis also grabbed eight rebounds. Shawndale Jones added 10 points for NJIT (11-12, 4-4 Atlantic Sun).

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — James Scott and Nick Masterson combined for 60 points to lead Kennesaw State to its first Atlantic Sun Conference win, blowing past Stetson 95-81 on Thursday night.
Scott and Masterson combined to hit all 11 from long range as the Owls were 11 of 19 from distance. The Owls shot 58 percent (35-60) from the floor, while limiting Stetson to 31-of-73 shooting (43 percent).
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Noah Horchler had 15 points and 13 rebounds on Saturday night, his second straight double-double, and North Florida beat Kennesaw State 85-78.
Horchler's jumper with 1:36 left made it 79-76 and started an 8-0 run powered by 6-of-8 free throw shooting that helped the Ospreys (8-12, 2-1 Atlantic Sun) pull away to an 85-76 lead. Tyler Hooker's layup for the Owls with four seconds left capped the scoring for both teams.

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — Tookie Brown scored 29 points as Georgia Southern held off in-state rival Kennesaw State for a 78-69 win on Tuesday night.
Brown hit 11 of 15 from the floor while dishing out five assists. Montae Glenn and Mike Hughes had 12 apiece for Georgia Southern (9-3) which has won four of its last five games.
Kennesaw State (2-9) made four more treys than the Eagles but Georgia Southern finished with three more field goals and made seven more free throws than the Owls.
SEATTLE (AP) — Josh Hearlihy scored 13 points, grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds and tied his career best with seven assists to help Seattle beat Kennesaw State 66-54 on Thursday night.
Aaron Menzies scored 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting, Morgan Means and Richaud Gittens each had 12 points and Matej Kavas scored 10 for Seattle (4-4).
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Curtis Phillips Jr. scored 21 points with eight rebounds and five assists and led five players in double figures as Tennessee State beat Kennesaw State 82-68 on Saturday night.

Kendrick Ray hit a 3 for Kennesaw State with 21 seconds left cutting the deficit to 81-79 before the Owls missed their final two shots. Kahlil Thomas' block of Ray's layup attempt with a second left preserved the win.
