SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — Martin Jones could come up with only so many saves against the NHL's second-ranked power play before the Florida Panthers finally broke through.
OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — The Florida Panthers beat up the Senators on a night when Ottawa was already playing with heavy hearts.
Jared McCann had a goal and two assists to lead Florida over the Senators 7-2 on Tuesday as Ottawa captain Erik Karlsson sat out following the death of his son.
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Jamie McGinn and his Florida Panthers teammates were thinking about the shooting back home as they faced the Vancouver Canucks.
Many of the Panther players were emotional after their 4-3 victory Wednesday night. At least 17 people were killed in the shooting at Parkland, Fla. that's near the practice facility.

DETROIT (AP) — Twenty-four hours made a huge difference for the Arizona Coyotes.
Jamie McGinn scored twice and the Coyotes beat the Detroit Red Wings 4-1 on Tuesday, one night after Arizona was routed 7-0 in Pittsburgh.

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — It has been more than 30 years since one team has had the number of their opposition to the degree that the Arizona Coyotes do over the Edmonton Oilers.
Jamie McGinn broke a tie with 3:44 left and Mike Smith made 41 saves in the Coyotes' 2-1 victory over the Oilers on Sunday. Arizona is 21-0-4 against Edmonton in the last 25 meetings, the longest stretch since Philadelphia went 32 games in a row without a regulation loss to Los Angeles.
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Coyotes withstood San Jose's flurry in the first period and another in the closing minutes.
In between, they played what may be their best period of hockey all season— against a finalist from last year's Stanley Cup Final, no less.
Louis Domingue stopped 39 shots, Brad Richardson scored in his 600th career game and the Coyotes picked up what should be a confidence-boosting win with a 3-2 victory over the Sharks on Tuesday night.
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Brayden Schenn and Jakob Chychrun punched each other so much they could have used a bell to stop the fight.
Schenn would have at least settled for a whistle.
With all eyes on the brawl, Martin Hanzal kept his on the puck and slipped it in the net to help the Arizona Coyotes beat the Philadelphia Flyers 5-4 on Thursday night to snap a five-game road losing streak.
Schenn, a Flyers center, had no idea why the refs didn't blow the whistle during the scrum.
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Coyotes have recalled goalie Justin Peters from the Tucson Roadrunners of the AHL to serve as an emergency backup after starter Mike Smith injured his left leg.
