ST. LOUIS (AP) — Sean Lloyd Jr.'s 13 points led five players in double figures and No.2 seed Southern Illinois defeated seventh-seeded Missouri State 67-63 in a quarterfinal game of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Friday night.
Kavion Pippen scored 11 points and Armon Fletcher, Aaron Cook and Tyler Smithpeters each scored 10 for the Salukis (20-12).

Bradley closes on 8-3 run, beats Missouri State 82-78
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Darrell Brown scored 16 points and led a game-closing 8-3 run to help Bradley beat Missouri State 82-78 on Wednesday night.
Jarrid Rhodes made a pair of free throws to give Missouri State its last lead at 75-74 with 77 seconds left. Nate Kennell made a pair to put the Braves back up for good. Brown made all six of his free throws in a 29-second span and finished 11 of 12 from the free throw line.
Johnson hits 5 3s, scores 28; Missouri St. beats Indiana St.
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — Alize Johnson drilled a 3-pointer to open the scoring and drained another for the final score as he finished with 28 points to lead Missouri State to an 81-62 win over Indiana State on Tuesday night to halt a five-game skid.
Fletcher basket lifts S Illinois over Missouri St 79-77
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Armon Fletcher scored 18 points, including a layup with 6.7 seconds left, to lift Southern Illinois to a 79-77 win over Missouri State on Saturday night.
Kavion Pippen, who added 17 points, got the ball on the low block before finding Fletcher cutting down the lane. Jarrid Rhodes missed a potential winning 3 for the Bears as time ran out.
Brown helps Bradley top Missouri State 72-52; 11-0 at home
PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — Darrell Brown scored 20 points with eight assists, Elijah Childs added 12 points with 12 rebounds and Bradley pulled away in the second half to defeat Missouri State 72-52 Tuesday night, maintaining a perfect record on its home court this season.
Jayden Hodgson made a 3-pointer to start a 16-2 breakaway run that turned a one-point lead into 17, 47-30, midway through the second half, and Bradley (15-7, 5-4 Missouri Valley Conference) wasn't challenged again.
Timmer’s big second half carries Drake to 61-58 win
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Reed Timmer scored 18 of his 24 points in the second half and Drake survived miserable 3-point shooting to beat Missouri State 61-58 on Saturday.
The victory left the Bulldogs (12-9, 6-2) alone atop the Missouri Valley Conference with Loyola of Chicago (5-1) playing Sunday.
The Bulldogs were only 3 of 26 from the arc. But Timmer broke the final tie with two free throws with six minutes left then added a layup and four more free throws in the final minute.
Smith, Taylor help Evansville edge Missouri St 64-55
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Dru Smith scored 15 points, Ryan Taylor added 13 and Evansville turned back Missouri State 64-55 on Wednesday night.
K.J. Riley had 11 points for the Purple Aces (12-6, 2-3 Missouri Valley Conference) and Dainiu Chatkevicius had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Alize Johnson led the Bears (13-5, 3-2) with 16 points and 14 rebounds and Jarrid Rhodes and Reggie Scurry had 10 points each.
Missouri State ends Valparaiso’s home winning streak, 67-50
VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) — Jarrid Rhodes made five 3-pointers for 15 points, Alize Johnson had 11 points, 12 rebounds and four assists for his ninth double-double, and Missouri State beat Valparaiso 67-50 on Sunday.
Valpo had its 13-game home winning streak snapped, the first home loss as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.
Missouri State holds off Wright State 66-50

Missouri State beats North Dakota State 71-58
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Alize Johnson scored 21 points, Reggie Scurry had 13 and Missouri State used a late run to get past North Dakota State 71-58 on Monday night.
The Bears (8-2) took the lead for good early in a 14-2 run capped by Scurry's layup to make it 63-52 with 4:20 left. They led by at least nine from there on their way to a sixth straight win.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Alize Johnson had 20 points while grabbing 14 rebounds to lead Missouri State to its fifth straight win, a 73-53 victory over South Dakota State on Saturday night.
Reggie Scurry came off the bench to score 14 points, hitting 6 of 9 field goals, and Jarrid Rhodes made all four attempts from long range for 12 points for Missouri State (7-2).
The Bears never trailed, taking a 43-26 lead into the break and pushing their advantage to 70-48 with 2:42 left in the game.
Missouri St beats FAU for 5th place in Gulf Coast Showcase
ESTERO, Fla. (AP) — Jarrid Rhodes and Alize Johnson each scored 14 points as Missouri State beat Florida Atlantic 71-60 on Wednesday for fifth place in the Gulf Coast Showcase.
Missouri State was ahead by eight points at halftime and scored the first seven points of the second half. The Bears' 21-7 spurt over the first 10 minutes of the second half made it 57-35.
N Dakota State beats Missouri State 57-54 behind Jacobson
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — A.J. Jacobson scored 14 points with three 3-pointers and the go-ahead free throws, Tyson Ward had a double-double, and North Dakota State beat Missouri State 57-54 on Friday night.
Paul Miller scored 13 points, Ward had 11 with a career-high 10 rebounds, and Deng Geu added 11 for the Bison (1-2), who trailed 52-50 in the second half before Jacobson tied it with a jumper with three minutes to play.

Drake beats Missouri State 72-71 in OT behind Timmer
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Reed Timmer scored 27 points, including a game-winning driving layup with 16 seconds left in overtime to give Drake a 72-71 win over Missouri State on Tuesday night.
Nick McGlynn and Graham Woodward each hit jumpers to give Drake a 68-65 lead in the extra session and McGlynn's basket with 52 seconds left made it 70-68. Dequon Miller made 1 of 2 free throws and the Bears trailed 70-69.
Missouri State holds off Evansville from the line, 55-51
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Dequon Miller converted three of four free throws in the final nine seconds to help Missouri State hold on to beat Evansville, 55-51 Wednesday night.
Jaylon Brown's layup with 11 seconds left got Evansville within one, 52-51. After a Missouri State timeout Miller drew a foul from Dru Smith and converted both free throws with :09 left. Brown turned the ball over three seconds later and Miller again drew a foul from Smith, this time hitting the first of two from the line.
McIntosh has 21, Illinois St tops Missouri St 74-71 in OT
NORMAL, Ill. (AP) — MiKyle McIntosh scored 21 points, Deontae Hawkins had 20, Paris Lee had a double-double and Illinois State edged Missouri State 74-71 in overtime on Wednesday night.
After Jarrid Rhodes' 3-pointer gave Missouri State a 67-64 lead to open overtime scoring, Lee matched that for the Redbirds. The Bears then missed six straight shots. McIntosh scored five straight points before he missed three straight free throws and Lee two, keeping the lead at 72-67.
Johnson double-double, Missouri St. tops SE Missouri 79-71
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Alize Johnson scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Missouri State to a 79-71 win over Southeast Missouri State on Wednesday night.
It was the third double-double of the season for Johnson who was 7 of 10 from the field for the Bears (5-2). Dequon Miller added 17 points and six rebounds, Austin Ruder had 16 points and Jarrid Rhodes had 10. The team had a 42-29 rebounding edge over Southeast Missouri.
Ruder scores 18, Missouri State beats Alabama A&M 96-62
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Austin Ruder and Jarrid Rhodes combined to hit 10 3-pointers and score 34 points and Missouri State beat Alabama A&M 96-62 in the season opener for both teams on Friday night.
Ruder hit six 3-pointers and finished with 18 points while Rhodes made 6 of 7 field-goal attempts, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range, and scored 16. Alize Johnson added 16 more, on 8-of-8 shooting and Ronnie Rousseau III had 15 points for Missouri State.
