Jack Whitehall has joined the cast of Disney's 'Jungle Cruise'.
The 29-year-old British comedian and actor has been cast to play Emily Blunt's brother in the upcoming movie adaptation of the popular Disneyland ride, which will also star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Variety report.
Emily Blunt is reportedly being eyed for a role in Disney's 'Jungle Cruise'.
The 34-year-old actress is believed to be in the running to take on the female lead in the proposed movie based around the popular Disneyland theme park attraction, where she will star alongside wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
Okay, to start with, our hero is NOT just a work-a-day slob, like the trailers portray him. This being Hollywood, he is, of course, an ex-cop. It changes the whole dynamic of a "helpless everyman" confronting a strange, violent situation.
Director Jaume Collet-Serra ("Run All Night," "Non-Stop," "Orphan") gives us more of the same, as he once again helms what is meant to be an edge-of-the-seat nail-biter. He succeeds on a minor league level.
Movie review: Liam Neeson sticks to the formula, and sticks to it well, in ‘The Commuter’
January is the grimmest month as far as new releases are concerned, an elephant’s graveyard where signs of life are few. So it’s a good thing we can count on Liam Neeson to periodically rescue us from these dark and desperate times.
Starting with “Taken” a decade ago, a saga successful enough to spawn two sequels, Neeson has transformed himself into a berserker for our time, an action hero who will go to any and all lengths to right wrongs and rescue those close to him.

A big, explosive train derailment lights up the screen late in "The Commuter," but this latest action vehicle for the almost-ageless Liam Neeson runs off the rails a bit earlier.
However, for more than half the movie -- the latest collaboration between Neeson and director Jaume Collet-Serra ("Unknown," "Non-Stop" and "Run All Night") -- we are given a fun little puzzler to solve along with Neeson's character.
Long before the train at the center of "The Commuter" physically derails, its storyline and plausibility sputter out of control.
Liam Neeson plays Michael MacCauley, an ex-cop turned insurance salesman with a wife at home and a son who's getting ready to enter college. MacCauley uneventfully rides the Hudson Line to work everyday, just like the rest of the working class passengers with whom he rubs elbows.
Review: Liam Neeson rides again in ‘The Commuter’
The tagline for the Liam Neeson Metro-North thriller "The Commuter" — "Lives are on the line" — feels like a missed opportunity. I would have gone with: "The quiet car is about to get loud."
Liam Neeson says his days as an action hero are over
TORONTO (AP) — Special set of skills or not, Liam Neeson says he's finished making thrillers.
In an interview, Neeson said that he plans to stop even though it's hard to turn down the lucrative offers he gets thanks to his box-office success in the three "Taken" films, as well as other thrillers. Neeson believes he's simply getting too old to be an action hero.
Gavin O'Connor has signed up to direct 'Suicide Squad 2'.
The 52-year-old filmmaker - whose credits include 'The Accountant' and 'Jane Got a Gun' - has stepped up to the job of helming the DC Extended Universe sequel after Jaume Collet-Serra pulled out, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
'Shallows' director Collet-Serra was the frontrunner, but reportedly called it quits to work on 'Jungle Cruise' for Disney, which stars Dwayne Johnson.
