ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Max Mahoney scored 22 points and Boston University controlled the final seven minutes in a 75-69 victory over Navy on Saturday.
Navy led 28-26 at halftime and for much of the second half until a 3-pointer by Jack Hemphill gave the Terriers a 58-56 lead with 7:23 remaining. BU added to its lead and eventually went up by 10 in the final minute.

Lamb, Smith lead Vermont to 78-72 win in its season opener
BOSTON (AP) — Anthony Lamb scored 19 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, blocked four shots and made big plays down the stretch to lead Vermont to a 78-72 win over Boston University in the Catamounts' season opener Friday night.
Stef Smith scored 20 of his 22 points in a second half in which Vermont came back from a 10-point deficit with 12:49 to go. Ernie Duncan added 18 points and Isaiah Moll added 12 for Vermont, the defending American East regular-season champion.

Boston U (8-8, 4-1 Patriot League) never trailed and a double-digit lead for most of the second half. Colgate (8-8, 3-2) made just 18 of 61 from the field (29.5 percent) and missed 28 shots from long range.
Loyola (Md) beats Boston University 68-65
BALTIMORE (AP) — Andre Walker made four 3-pointers and tied his season high with 27 points to help Loyola (Maryland) beat Boston University 68-65 on Friday night.
Loyola led by as many as 11 points in the second half but BU rallied to pull within 66-65 with 16 seconds to go on Javante McCoy's 3-pointer. Loyola turned it over four seconds later but forced an off-balance shot and got the rebound. Walker was fouled and hit both free throws and had a game-clinching steal with 0.6 seconds left.

BOSTON (AP) — Reserves Andrew Petcash scored 15 points and Sukhmail Mathon 13, and Boston University defeated Wheaton 83-48 on Sunday.
Javante McCoy added 12 points, the only Terrier starter in double figures. Only one starter played over 20 minutes for Boston College (2-3), which won its second straight game.
The Terriers outrebounded the Division III Lyons 52-27, outscoring Wheaton 34-18 in the paint and 15-1 on second-chance points. The Terriers had 22 assists on 31 field goals.
Nichols scores 20 to lead Albany past Boston U, 88-74
