The Ellises take in donkeys that have been rehabilitated and trained by staff at Peaceful Valley's headquarters in San Angelo, Texas, and they match the animals with new owners.

Her husband, Jason Golka, 31, is serving a lengthy prison term for a 2004 double murder in Gretna, when he was 17. He’ll be eligible for parole at about age 63.
