Role Of Women In Public Service, Transportation Explored At University Of Scranton Forum
SCRANTON — Like the other two women seated with her at a table in the University of Scranton’s Edward R. Leahy Jr. Hall, state Transportation Secretary Leslie S. Richards said she knows what it’s like to be the only female in a room full of men.
She also learned early in her political career she didn’t have to yell to have the loudest voice.
KINGMAN — A Laughlin woman pleaded not guilty Thursday to two new felony charges.
Nancy Jean Harris, 46, was arraigned on felony charges including forgery and failure to appear. She is charged with forging a check stolen from a Bullhead City mailbox.

A Mohave County grand jury indicted Nancy Jean Harris, 46, of forgery and failure to appear. She is expected to be arraigned on the charges Thursday, Jan. 4 before Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert. She is being held in jail on a $5,000 bond.
Police: Woman found dead in her car was missing
LONG BEACH, Miss. (AP) — Authorities have confirmed the body of a mother reported missing was found in her car at a grocery store parking lot.
Pascagoula police confirmed Monday that 24-year-old Billie Jean Harris was found at a Winn Dixie parking lot in her gold 1997 Ford Escort on Sunday. The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/2rwJpJ4) no foul play is suspected in her death.
