Bowling Green wins 10th straight game, 80-67 over EMU
YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Justin Turner scored 19 points, Demajeo Wiggins had 13 points and 10 rebounds and Bowling Green won its 10th straight game with an 80-67 victory over Eastern Michigan on Tuesday night.
Bowling Green (14-5, 6-0 Mid-American Conference) is off to its best start in league play since the 1961-62 team won seven straight. BGSU is one of just four teams in the country with active winning streaks of at least 10 games, including Hofstra, Tennessee and Michigan State.
Bowling Green wins sixth straight, beats Ohio 82-63
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — Justin Turner scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half to help Bowling Green beat Ohio 82-63 on Tuesday night for its sixth straight win.
The Falcons (10-5, 2-0 Mid-American Conference) improved to 8-0 at home and matched its best winning streak under coach Michael Huger in his fourth season.
Michael Laster added 15 points for Bowling Green. Dylan Frye and Antwon Lillard chipped in with 13 points and Jeffrey Uju scored 10.
Turner scores 21 in Bowling Green’s win vs. Western Carolina
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — Justin Turner scored 21 points with six assists and Bowling Green defeated Western Carolina 73-52 on Friday.
Antwon Lillard scored 12 points off the bench and Demajeo Wiggins added 11, nine on free throws, plus nine rebounds for the Falcons (7-5), who shot 50 percent and made 17 of 27 free throws to 2 of 8 for the Catamounts (3-11).
The Falcons won their third straight overall and are 6-0 at home for the first time since 2008-09.
Tied at halftime, Bowling Green beats Division II Findlay
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — Justin Turner scored 22 points and Bowling Green, tied at halftime, outlasted Division-II Findlay 82-57 on Sunday.
Findlay led throughout the first 19 minutes of the first half before Bowling Green tied it at 35 heading into the break. Bowling Green opened the second half with a 27-7 run to take control.
Wiggins, Turner lead Bowling Green to 75-60 win over NCCU
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — Demajeo Wiggins and Justin Turner combined for 42 points as Bowling Green took an early lead and held off North Carolina Central for a 75-60 win on Thursday night in the first meeting between the schools.
Wiggins, who also pulled down 13 rebounds, was 10 of 11 from the floor for 22 points. Turner was 8-of-15 shooting, nailing three treys, to total 20 points.
