DOCU-DRAMA: One of the participants in “Backpack Full of Cash,” the public school documentary narrated by Matt Damon, gives the film an “F,” claiming the producers misled her. According to the Hollywood Reporter, in the trailer for the doc that critiques school choice, Jeanne Allen of the Center for Education Reform is seen using her phrase, Backpack Full of Cash, along with a cartoon visual of a student with dollar bills flying from his backpack. Allen fears she’s been made the villain in the movie and claims that Turnstone Productions, Stone Lantern Films and producers Vera Aronow and Sarah Mondale misled her about the nature of the film when they interviewed her. Yesterday, he posted an Instagram picture of his two sons, bronzed and dozing on the back of a boat, accompanied by a completed checklist caption. But when fans of Boston’s own Chris Evans read his Twitter post, featuring a photo of his beloved pupper Dodger asleep in his arms and the caption “really missing this guy right now,” they understandably freaked, grieving for what they assumed was his dead pooch. Evans returned to Twitter to clarify: “To be clear, he’s alive and well, just thousands of miles away for the next couple months.” Fans were relieved, including pal Seth Rogen, who posted: “(expletive) dude, I was like crying.” Evans adopted Dodger while he was filming “Gifted,” with Milton native Jenny Slate. He told People “He sleeps on my pillow, you wake up face-to-face.’” Lucky dog.
