CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — This was the effort Hornets coach James Borrego was hoping to get from Jeremy Lamb when he named him the team's starting shooting guard before the season.
Lamb had a season-high 19 points and eight rebounds, and Charlotte made light work of the Cleveland Cavaliers, winning 126-94 on Saturday night.
Borrego said Lamb was "fantastic," and now wants to see him bring that same aggressive attack-the-basket mentality every night.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Dwight Howard lost control of the ball on his way in for an apparent dunk when he was fouled from behind by Zach Randolph. As Howard tried to regain his footing, the ball floated about 3 feet above the rim and then fell straight back down and through.
"I don't know how it went in," Howard said with a grin.
On a night when Charlotte set season highs in several offensive categories, Howard's play was symptomatic of just how good things were going for the struggling Hornets.
Lowry scores season-high 36 as Raptors beat Hornets 126-113
TORONTO (AP) — The Charlotte Hornets came to Canada in search of their first road win in November. They left still without one thanks to Kyle Lowry and his Toronto teammates.
He scored a season-high 36 points, DeMar DeRozan had 30 and the Raptors improved to 7-1 at home by beating the shorthanded Hornets 126-113 on Wednesday night.
Lowry set a new career-high by hitting eight 3-pointers.
