McAdams-Love race in Utah spurred $11M in spending
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The fierce battle for a U.S. House in Utah where Democrat Ben McAdams narrowly unseated Republican Mia Love was one of the most expensive races in Utah history, new figures show.
About $11.4 million was spent by the two candidates and outside political groups, according to new information from the Federal Election Commission.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams is running to challenge U.S. Rep. Mia Love for her congressional seat next year.
McAdams, a Democratic former state lawmaker who has served as the mayor of Utah's largest county since 2012, made the announcement Wednesday night.
McAdams considering 2018 run in 4th Congressional District
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams doesn't live in Utah's 4th Congressional District but says he's thinking about challenging two-term Republican incumbent Mia Love in 2018.
McAdams lives in the state's 2nd Congressional District. But House candidates don't have to live in a district to run for its seat.
McAdams is a Democrat and a former state senator now serving his second four-year term as county mayor.
Bison calf rejected by its mother raised by volunteers at North Dakota museum
JAMESTOWN, N.D. — Volunteers from the National Buffalo Museum are giving a 3-week-old bison calf named Rosebud a chance at life, said Don Williams, president of the museum board.
Williams started calling the calf his “buddy,” which was expanded by museum staff to the name "Rosebud."
“She’s doing good,” he said, after Rosebud had consumed two quarts of warm milk replacer from a bottle Tuesday morning. “She is fine now.”
Utah Congress: Love, Lee win re-election to US Senate
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — U.S. Rep. Mia Love won re-election in Utah on Tuesday after defeating Democrat Doug Owens for the second time, while U.S. Sen. Mike Lee defeated political newcomer Misty Snow.
The other members of the state's congressional delegation up for re-election — Republican Reps. Jason Chaffetz, Chris Stewart and Rob Bishop — also sailed to wins in their bids for new terms.
Poll: Mia Love has opened a double-digit lead over Democrat Owens
Republican Rep. Mia Love may be seeing some daylight between her and Democrat Doug Owens in their rematch for Utah’s 4th Congressional District seat, according to a new poll.
The results show that Love has built a 13-point gap between herself and the Democratic challenger with 12 weeks until the election. Love leads Owens 51 percent to 38 percent in the Dan Jones & Associates survey for the political website UtahPolicy.com.
