Nate Sestina had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Bucknell (17-8, 11-2 Patriot League), which earned its fifth straight victory. Jimmy Sotos added 12 points. Bruce Moore had 12 points for the hosts.

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Jimmy Sotos made three free throws with 5.8 seconds left to give Bucknell a 71-68 victory over Loyola of Maryland on Wednesday night.
Loyola tied the game with 35 second remaining to cap a 10-0 run. Andrew Kostecka converted a 3-point play, Jaylin Andrews and Isaiah Hart each hit a 3-pointer, and KaVaughn Scott split a pair of free throws during the stretch. Chuck Champion missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Soto layup lifts Bucknell past Lehigh 85-83, into 1st place
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) — Jimmy Sotos raced down the lane for the winning layup with 1.2 seconds left to cap a frantic finish that gave Bucknell an 85-83 win over Lehigh on Saturday and first place in the Patriot League.

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Nate Sestina scored a career-high 32 points on 11-of-11 shooting, Kimbal Mackenzie topped the 1,000-point plateau, and Bucknell beat Holy Cross 93-78 Monday night for its third consecutive win.
Mackenzie, who finished with 17 points, hit a 3-pointer with 7:21 left in the first half that gave him 1,001 career points and pushed Bucknell's lead to 38-19. Avi Toomer added 13 points and Jimmy Sotos scored 10 with eight assists for the Bison (10-7, 4-1 Patriot League).

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Nate Sestina scored 14 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer, Bruce Moore had 13 points and 15 rebounds and Bucknell rallied to beat American 55-54 on Saturday.
Bucknell led 55-52 on Sestina's back-to-back 3s with 1:18 left. Jimmy Sotos missed a free throw and Sam Iorio's rebound gave the Eagles the ball with 18 seconds to go but they turned it over. Bucknell missed a free throw before Sa'eed Nelson missed a shot in the lane and his 3 at the buzzer went in and out.

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Kimbal Mackenzie had 25 points as Bucknell edged past Colgate 84-81 on Wednesday night.
Mackenzie hit 13 of 16 free throws.
Nate Sestina had 15 points and nine rebounds for Bucknell (8-7, 2-1 Patriot League), which earned its fourth straight home victory. Avi Toomer added 12 points. Jimmy Sotos had six assists for the hosts.
After falling behind 40-36 at the half, Bucknell outscored Colgate 48-41 in the second half to earn the 3-point victory.

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Nate Sestina scored 16 points with 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season and Bucknell overcame a cold start to beat Monmouth 65-43 on Saturday for the Hawks' ninth straight loss.
Avi Toomer scored a career-high 17 points with three 3-pointers and four steals and Jimmy Sotos added 10 points and seven assists for the Bison (3-3), who made 11 of 34 3-pointers and held the Hawks to 33 percent shooting. Kimbal Mackenzie scored nine points.
Molson matches career high with 25, Canisius beats Bucknell
LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Takal Molson matched his career high with 25 points as Canisius opened the season by holding off Bucknell for an 82-73 win on Tuesday night.
Canisius took an early lead and was up 48-32 at the break. The Bison had an 18-4 run to close to 63-57 with 7:29 remaining in the game. Molson drove for a layup and later sank two free throws to open the margin to 67-57. Bucknell stayed close but could not catch the Golden Griffins.
Alvarez makes late layup, Fairfield beats Bucknell 60-58
LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Neftali Alvarez scored 16 points, including a go-ahead layup with three seconds left and Fairfield held on for a 60-58 season-opening win over Bucknell on Saturday night.

Toomer scored nine points, Kimbal Mackenzie led the Bison with 28 points as Bucknell erased a 13-point deficit in the final 12 minutes to forge a 71-71 tie to end regulation.
