He was then joined by the actual rock stars who are nearly 50 years his senior.

Stevie Wonder wows crowd on ‘smart’ piano at tech show
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Trying to distinguish your product among the thousands at the CES gadget show is no easy feat, so it helps when music legend Stevie Wonder pays an unexpected visit.
Especially when your product is a "smart" piano designed to teach people how to play.
Piano teacher Gabie Perry was demonstrating the internet-connected device, made by a California startup, when someone told her that Wonder asked to try it. She thought it was a joke.

THEY’RE READY: They don’t live in a pineapple under the sea, but they wrote for a little dude who does. Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry are among the stars who composed original songs for “SpongeBob SquarePants,” a Broadway show based on the Nickelodeon cartoon. The rockers behind “Walk This Way” came up with “Bikini Bottom Boogie,” and joined artists Cyndi Lauper, The Flaming Lips, They Might Be Giants, Panic! at the Disco, Sara Bareilles, John Legend, Lady Antebellum, Plain White T’s and T.I. on the songwriting talent roster. What can we say — that sponge is connected. An original cast recording will be released Sept. 22 on CD and digitally, and performances start at the Palace Theater Nov. 6.
STAMFORD — Paul Nelson can still see the image of an ebullient Johnny Winter leaning over the studio mixing desk as he predicted their last album would be a mega hit several years ago.
“He said, ‘If they don’t give us a Grammy for this, they’re crazy,’” Nelson, a Stamford native, recalled with a laugh. “I said, ‘Wow, we’re not actually doing this to get one, but it would be nice.’”

Steven Tyler’s pre-show rituals: ‘kiss as many girls as I can’
MUNICH (AP) — Aerosmith may be approaching its 50th anniversary, but its members say the band's not going anywhere.
Front man Steven Tyler and Joe Perry both say the band will keep playing. That's despite the title of their tour, 'Aero-Vederci Baby!' — which seems to play on "arrivederci," Italian for "goodbye till we meet again."
That appeared to hint it could be a farewell tour for the band after their run of dates in Europe.

Check out the video of the line brawl from the Orlando Solar Bears' 3-0 victory over the Florida Everblades on Saturday. The brawl, at Orlando, starts off with former Komets forward Mitchell Heard going at it with Mason Marchment.
Equipment is thrown, goalies go at it, and it's ECHL playoff hockey at its finest.
Depending on the count, at least one-third to one-quarter of the roughly 70 bills dealing with fish and wildlife issues have died so far in the Montana Legislature.
“It’s been brutal,” said Joe Perry, who lobbies on behalf of Montana sporting groups. “We’re not winning a whole lot.”
Some losses have been particularly hard for sporting folks to swallow.
The first period tonight was a snoozer, but the rest was really impressive by a Komets team that was playing its third game in three nights. Now, Orlando was playing its fourth game in five nights, but this was a lopsided game during the final 40 minutes.
It’s too bad Fort Wayne and Orlando don’t play more often because it always seems to be entertaining.
