Joel Hernandez had 32 points and seven rebounds, Raiquan Clark had 20 points and eight rebounds and LIU Brooklyn beat Wagner 71-61 on Tuesday night to win the Northeast Conference Tournament title and earn its first NCAA Tournament bid in five years.
NEW YORK (AP) — Raiquan Clark scored 28 points, Joel Hernandez added 25 and Jashaun Agosto made both free throws in his only trip to the line with 3.6 seconds on the clock and LIU Brooklyn won a bruising semifinal 78-77 over Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday to advance to the Northeast Conference Tournament Championship game.
The No. 4-seed Blackbirds (17-16), making their first championship appearance since 2013, will play at top-seeded Wagner (23-8) on Tuesday.
LIU Brooklyn beats St. Francis (Brooklyn) 73-50
NEW YORK (AP) — Joel Hernandez scored 26 points as No. 4 seed LIU Brooklyn rolled to a 73-50 victory over fifth-seeded St. Francis (Brooklyn) on Wednesday night in a Northeast Conference quarterfinal.
LIU Brooklyn (16-16) will host a semifinal matchup Saturday against No. 6 seed Fairleigh Dickinson, which beat St. Francis (Pennsylvania) 84-75.
Hernandez was 9 of 17 from the floor and made three 3-pointers. Jashaun Agosto added 12 points and Raiquan Clark 10 for the Blackbirds.
Senior Hernandez scores 26, LIU Brooklyn beats Sacred Heart
NEW YORK (AP) — Joel Hernandez scored 26 points for his 18th game this season with 20-plus, Raiquan Clark added 20 points and LIU Brooklyn beat Sacred Heart 88-77 on Saturday.
Hernandez, a senior, scored 15 of his points in the second half to help keep the Blackbirds' hopes of a home tournament game alive. He was one of three seniors, along with Jamall Robinson and Zach Coleman, playing their final regular-season home game.
Wagner clinches NEC title with 78-74 win over LIU Brooklyn
NEW YORK (AP) — JoJo Cooper scored 18 points with six assists, Nigel Jackson added 15 points, and Wagner beat LIU Brooklyn 78-74 on Saturday to clinch the Northeastern Conference regular season championship and win their 14th straight at home.
It's the Seahawks' (20-7, 13-3) second regular season title in the past three years, and third in program history.

Dunn rallies St Francis to 84-79 win over LIU Brooklyn
NEW YORK (AP) — Rasheem Dunn scored 24 and hit a go-ahead layup late and St. Francis (Brooklyn) sank 5 of 6 free throws in the final 33 seconds to hold off LIU Brooklyn 84-79 on Thursday night.
Dunn hit four 3-pointers and added seven rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Terriers (12-15, 9-6 Northeast Conference), who moved past the Blackbirds (13-20, 8-7) into a four-way tie for second place in conference play. Jalen Jordan scored 20 points with five rebounds for St. Francis.
Robert Morris tops LIU Brooklyn 96-82
NEW YORK (AP) — Dachon Burke scored 29 points, Matty McConnell added 23 — both career highs — and the pair combined for seven 3-pointers as Robert Morris beat LIU Brooklyn 96-82 on Saturday to snap a four-game slide.
The 96 points are the most scored in eight years under Andrew Toole.
Charles Bain added 14 points for Robert Morris (14-13, 8-6 Northeast Conference) and Koby Thomas 11. The Colonials shoot 59.6 percent (31 for 52) from the floor, making 10 of 15 from beyond the arc.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Joel Hernandez turned a 3-point play and drilled a 3-pointer back-to-back to spark LIU Brooklyn to a 69-60 win over Sacred Heart in a Northeast Conference game Thursday night.
Alex Watson hit a pair of free throws to pull the Pioneers within two, 56-54 with 7:14 left, but Hernandez hit a jumper, drew the foul and added the free throw to make it 59-54, then hit from long range to make it an eight-point lead the Blackbirds extended to double digits down the stretch.
LIU Brooklyn beats Central Connecticut State 94-89 in OT
NEW YORK (AP) — Raiquan Clark had 30 points, Joel Hernandez scored five of his 18 points in overtime and LIU Brooklyn beat Central Connecticut State 94-89 on Saturday.
The Blackbirds outscored CCSU 12-7 in the extra period, with Hernandez making a 3-pointer and two free throws in the final 44 seconds as they closed on a 7-0 run.
LIU Brooklyn (10-13, 5-5 Northeast Conference) rebounded from back-to-back losses while CCSU (12-11, 5-5) had its four-game win streak snapped.
Mount St. Mary’s holds off LIU Brooklyn 86-80

LORETTO, Pa. (AP) — Jamal King and Andre Wolford combined to score 43 points and fueled a fast start to the second half that carried St. Francis to a double-digit lead it never relinquished in beating LIU Brooklyn, 85-68 in a Northeast Conference contest Thursday night.
