The freshman guard scored 24 points, including five 3-pointers in the first half, and No. 19 Kentucky beat Utah 88-61 Saturday.
Johnson made a career-high six shots from long range on seven attempts as Kentucky made a season-high 12 3-pointers against the Utes.
Kentucky guard Quade Green to transfer
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Sophomore guard Quade Green has announced he will transfer from the University of Kentucky.
A release from the university says Green notified the team of his decision on Wednesday. The Philadelphia native will be able to transfer to any school without any restrictions.
Green played in 43 games for the Wildcats over two seasons, averaging 9.0 points and 2.6 assists.
Seton Hall overcomes half-court shot to stun No. 9 Kentucky
NEW YORK (AP) — Keldon Johnson caught the ball near center court and heaved in a prayer of a shot at the regulation buzzer that sent Kentucky players and fans into a pulsating frenzy.
Surely now, with all that momentum, the ninth-ranked Wildcats would finally take control in overtime and escape from New York with a hard-fought win.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Keldon Johnson had a big night for No. 10 Kentucky but was more concerned about the bottom line.
Johnson scored a career-high 27 points to lead the Wildcats to a 77-62 win over Tennessee State on Friday night.
"It felt pretty good, but the main thing, we got the win," Johnson said. "I was playing aggressively and just kept attacking (the basket) and it eventually it opened up."
Kentucky coach John Calipari was pleased to see the freshman guard produce and finish underneath.

The 6-foot, 179-pound Calipari, son of Wildcats coach John Calipari, will practice and travel with the team and have two seasons of eligibility remaining. He has 11 points and five rebounds in 27 career games with the No. 2 Wildcats, who open Tuesday against No. 4 Duke in Indianapolis.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky is adding Stanford graduate transfer Reid Travis to its lineup.
Travis, a first-team All-Pac-12 selection twice with the Cardinal, announced Wednesday that he's transferring to Kentucky to pursue a master's degree.
Under NCAA graduate transfer rules, Travis will be eligible to play for the Wildcats in the fall. He graduated Sunday with an undergraduate degree in science, technology and society.
