ATLANTA (AP) — Seahawks backup running back C.J. Prosise is inactive for Saturday's NFC divisional playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Prosise was unable to return from a shoulder injury in a short practice week for Seattle, leaving Thomas Rawls to handle most of the carries. Prosise has not played since hurting his shoulder against New England on Nov. 20.
Prosise was on the field for pregame drills after being listed as a full participant in Thursday's walkthrough practice.
PHOENIX (AP) — The Phoenix Suns waived guard John Jenkins on Friday.
Jenkins averaged 1.8 points and 3.3 minutes in four appearances this season, and averaged 5.0 points and 13.0 minutes in 22 games with the Suns last season.
The 6-foot-4 former Vanderbilt guard also has played for Atlanta and Dallas in his five-year NBA career. He has career averages of 5.1 points and 12.8 minutes.
RENTON, Wash. (AP) — The Seattle Seahawks released running back Christine Michael after the former second-round draft pick lost his starting job to rookie C.J. Prosise.
