NEW YORK (AP) — Pixar co-founder and former Disney animation chief John Lasseter, who last year was forced out after acknowledging "missteps" in his behavior with women staff members, has been hired to run the recently launched animation division of Skydance Media, the production company announced Wednesday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ed Catmull, the president of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios since 2006, is retiring next year. The Walt Disney Company says Tuesday that the 73-year-old Pixar co-founder will remain in an advisory role through July 2019.

NEW YORK (AP) — John Lasseter, the co-founder of Pixar Animation Studios and the Walt Disney Co.'s animation chief, will step down at the end of the year after acknowledging "missteps" in his behavior with staff members.
Disney announced Friday that Lasseter — one of the most illustrious and powerful figures in animation — will stay on through the end of 2018 as a consultant. After that he will depart Disney permanently.

The 37-year-old actress - who voices the part of Anna in the hit animated movie and its upcoming sequel - has revealed the movie is progressing well.
