Rested Cardinals face daunting trip to Kansas City
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — When the season started for the Arizona Cardinals, Sam Bradford was the quarterback and Mike McCoy was offensive coordinator.
Now both are gone.
On Saturday, while the team was enjoying a long weekend off, the Cardinals released Bradford, who lost his starting job after three games to rookie Josh Rosen and had been inactive for the last five. Bradford's departure came a little less than two weeks after McCoy was fired and replaced by quarterbacks coach Byron Leftwich.
A focused Mackenzie Phillips takes it one day at a time
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Mackenzie Phillips, who's upending expectations with her portrayal of a brutal inmate on "Orange is the New Black," deserves another look off-screen as well.
Phillips has battled addiction and made disturbing sexual abuse allegations well before such revelations were common, and she's forthright when asked to look back at those dark chapters.

Fill-in offensive lineman John Phillips earns high grades at Boston College
Boston College coach Steve Addazio sets a high standard for handing out “grade champion awards” to offensive linemen.
BC is known as O-Line U, so the Eagles front five is expected to play up to that reputation.
Three Eagles offensive linemen — right tackle Chris Lindstrom and guards John Phillips and Sam Schmal — copped grade champion awards from Addazio for Saturday’s 45-42 upset at Louisville. And Lindstrom was named ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week for the first time in his career.
