KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Jordan Giles had 14 points off the bench to lift UMKC to a 75-67 win over Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday night.
Xavier Bishop had 14 points for UMKC (10-16, 5-6 Western Athletic Conference). Danny Dixon added 12 points. Marvin Nesbitt Jr. had seven rebounds for the hosts.
Jarkel Joiner had 19 points for the Roadrunners (16-10, 7-5). Rickey Holden added 13 points.
Heading lifts California Baptist over UMKC 70-60
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — Jordan Heading scored 24 points, tying his season high, as California Baptist topped UMKC 70-60 on Saturday night. Milan Acquaah added 22 points for the Lancers.
De'jon Davis had 12 points and 12 rebounds for California Baptist (13-10, 5-5 Western Athletic Conference).
Rob Whitfield had 17 points for the Kangaroos (8-16, 3-6). Jordan Giles added 15 points. Marvin Nesbitt Jr. had 8 points and 10 rebounds.

Allen was 4 of 8 from beyond the arc. Brandon McKissic and Marvin Nesbitt Jr. added 15 points apiece, and Xavier Bishop and Rob Whitfield chipped in 13 each. Jordan Giles contributed 10 points to go with seven rebounds and four assists.

EDINBURG, Texas (AP) — Broderick Robinson just missed a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing nine rebounds as UMKC won its fourth straight game, thumping UT Rio Grande Valley, 83-59 in a Western Athletic Conference battle Thursday night.
The victory moves the Kangaroos into a tie with the Vaqueros for fifth place with two games left in the regular season. UMKC plays conference leader New Mexico State Saturday in Las Cruces.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Keith Hayes poured in 31 points, knocking down 5 of 7 3-pointers, and grabbed seven rebounds to help Division II William Jewell roll to an 86-74 victory over Missouri-Kansas City on Tuesday night.

SEATTLE (AP) — Matej Kavas scored 22 points with 11 rebounds and Jordan Hill made two free throws with three seconds left and Seattle beat UMKC 77-75 on Saturday.
Hill made a 3 with 92 seconds left to put Seattle (13-7, 2-1 Western Athletic Conference) ahead 75-69. Jordan Giles made a 3, 12 seconds later, then Brandon McKissic came up with a steal and dished to Xavier Bishop to reduce the Kangaroos' deficit to a point with 49 seconds left.
Balanced UMKC races past Haskell 110-59 in home opener
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Jordan Giles scored 21 points, Mo Ahmed and Xavier Bishop 18 each, and UMKC led from wire-to-wire in a 110-59 defeat of Haskell on Sunday.
The Kangaroos (1-1) had a school-record 20 steals and scored 33 points off 28 turnovers in the dominating performance against NAIA member Haskell, leading by 54 late in the game. The 110 points is also a school record.
UMKC cruises to 93-71 win over Division II William Jewell
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — LaVell Boyd had 21 points and six assists as UMKC rolled to a 93-71 victory over Division II William Jewell on Saturday.
