Kentucky linebacker Jones is ineligible for Citrus Bowl
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky linebacker Jordan Jones has been declared ineligible for the Citrus Bowl.
A Kentucky football spokesman confirmed Tuesday that Jones will not play for the No. 16 Wildcats (9-3) on Jan. 1 against No. 13 Penn State (9-3) in Orlando, Florida. No reason or further details were given. Kentucky Sports Radio first reported that Jones was ineligible.
Razorbacks receiver Nance says he will redshirt, transfer
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas receiver Jonathan Nance says he will redshirt this season and transfer from the program in December.
Nance, a senior who started six games in the 2017 season, made the announcement on Twitter early Monday after playing four games this season. The decision coincides with college football's new rule that allows for football student-athletes to play in four games without spending a redshirt.
51 ill after eating at Fayetteville brewery and beer garden
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Health officials have said they are investigating a currently unidentified outbreak after 51 people reported falling ill after a visit to a Fayetteville restaurant.
Arkansas Department of Health spokeswoman Meg Mirivel said in a release Monday symptoms included diarrhea, vomiting and fever, but there have been no hospitalizations among those who ate at JJ's Beer Garden and Brewery.
Charleston Southern beats Presbyterian in Big South tourney
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Ty Jones scored 17 points on 8-of-9 shooting and Charleston Southern opened the Big South Tournament with a 68-51 victory over Presbyterian on Tuesday night.
Jones scored 10 of Charleston Southern's 25 first-half points as the Buccaneers built a nine-point lead. The Blue Hose shot 32 percent and turned it over 11 times in the half.
Phlandrous Fleming Jr.'s third 3-pointer of the game extended Charleston Southern's lead to 60-40 with four minutes left.
Charleston Southern fends off Campbell 72-68 behind Mitchell
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Cortez Mitchell scored 20 points and Jordan Jones 18 and Charleston Southern held off Campbell for a 72-68 win on Thursday night.
Chris Clemons' layup with 52 seconds left brought Campbell within 67-65 after a 9-2 run. Justin Jones made a layup and Travis McConico made 1 of 2 foul shots and Charleston Southern (12-15, 7-9 Big South) led by five.
Charleston Southern pulls away to win 77-65
FARMVILLE, Va. (AP) — Cortez Mitchell scored 17 points and Christian Keeling added 15 to lead Charleston Southern over Longwood 77-65 on Thursday night.
Travis McConico added 14 points and Jordan Jones 10 for the Buccaneers (12-14, 7-8 Big South), who swept the season series from the Lancers (6-22, 3-12). Charleston Southern was only 3 of 12 from the arc but outscored Longwood 46-28 in the paint even though outrebounded 40-39.
Kennesaw State beats FGCU 97-93, ending 13-game win streak
FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — James Scott and Nick Masterson each scored 27 points, Anthony Wilson calmly sank two free throws on his first trip to the line with 1.1 seconds on the clock and Kennesaw State defeated Florida Gulf Coast 97-93 Thursday night, ending the Eagles' 13-game win streak.

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — James Scott and Nick Masterson scored 20 points apiece and Kennesaw State beat Jacksonville 78-54 on Saturday, for its third straight win.
Jordan Jones and Tyler Hooker added 12 points each for the Owls (9-17, 5-6 Atlantic Sun). Jones led the team with nine rebounds.
Kennesaw State shot 52 percent from the field compared to 33 percent for Jacksonville.
Mitchell with 24, Charleston Southern downs Liberty 87-75
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Cortez Mitchell scored 24 points and Charleston Southern downed Liberty 87-75 on Wednesday night.
Travis McConico added 23 points with five rebounds for the Buccaneers (10-14, 5-8 Big South) who shot 61 percent from the field compared to 53 percent for Liberty. Christian Keeling scored 10 points.
Kennesaw State finishes sweep of USC Upstate, 93-69
KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — James Scott hit 5 3-pointers and totaled 30 points as Kennesaw State picked up its second win over USC Upstate in eight days, this time posting a 93-69 rout in the Atlantic Sun Conference rematch on Saturday.
A week ago Anthony Wilson hit the game-winner with 1.4 seconds left for an 81-80 win at Spartanburg.
Scott, Masterson combine for 60, Kennesaw St. romps to win
KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — James Scott and Nick Masterson combined for 60 points to lead Kennesaw State to its first Atlantic Sun Conference win, blowing past Stetson 95-81 on Thursday night.
Scott and Masterson combined to hit all 11 from long range as the Owls were 11 of 19 from distance. The Owls shot 58 percent (35-60) from the floor, while limiting Stetson to 31-of-73 shooting (43 percent).
Jacksonville rallies to beat Kennesaw State 65-58
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — JD Notae, Devin Harris and Jace Hogan scored 14 points apiece and Jacksonville rallied with a big second half to beat Kennesaw State 65-58 on Thursday night to win its third straight.
Harris had eight assists and the Dolphins (8-11, 2-0 Atlantic Sun) made 26 of 59 field-goal attempts (44.1 percent) while holding the Owls to 33.3 percent shooting.
Jankovic’s career-high 19 points sparks Kennesaw State win
KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — Kosta Jankovic scored a career-high 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting and Kennesaw State cruised to a 98-75 victory over Carver Bible College on Tuesday night.
Jordan Jones and Nick Masterson added 16 points each for the Owls (4-11). James Scott scored 13 with five assists and Anthony Wilson had 12 points for Kennesaw State, which shot 58 percent (40 of 69) from the field and won the rebound battle 42-25.

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — Miye Oni scored 22 points with eight rebounds and seven assists, Paul Atkinson scored a career-high 20 points, and Yale never trailed in beating Kennesaw State 89-74 on Saturday to end a three-game skid.
Azar Swain scored 14 points and Trey Phills added 10 for the Bulldogs (7-8), who shot 61 percent overall and got 14 second-chance points off of eight offensive boards.
Northwestern quarterback carted off with injured right knee
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Northwestern quarterback Clayton Thorson has been carted off the field with an injured right knee hurt after catching a 24-yard pass for the No. 20 Wildcats in the second quarter of the Music City Bowl.
Thorson handed off to running back Jeremy Larkin and then ran down the left sideline for a wide-open catch with 14:23 left in the second. Thorson was tackled by Kentucky linebacker Jordan Jones at the Kentucky 5, and the quarterback immediately grabbed his right knee.
Louisville, Lamar Jackson roll past rival Kentucky 44-17
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Besides displaying his usual prowess running and throwing the football, Louisville quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson mixed it up with Kentucky linebacker Jordan Jones in an uncommon emotional outburst.
The bench-clearing fight symbolized the simmering intensity between in-state rivals, and Jackson made sure the surging Cardinals reclaimed Bluegrass bragging rights going away.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Heisman Trophy quarterback Lamar Jackson of Louisville scuffled with a Kentucky linebacker in the first quarter Saturday — the second time in four seasons these rivals brawled.
The junior quarterback was knocked out of bounds on a 9-yard run by Wildcats cornerback Lonnie Johnson Jr. at Kentucky's 1. Jackson got up and bumped linebacker Jordan Jones. The two players exchanged shoves before falling and scuffling, clearing both benches.

Masterson has 18, Kennesaw St. rolls over Piedmont 77-54
KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — Nick Masterson had 18 points and Tyler Hooker added 17 as Kennesaw State started slow but dominated the second half to pick up its first win of the season, rolling over Division III Piedmont 77-54 on Thursday night.
Masterson drilled 4 of 7 from beyond the arc, making 7 of 12 field goal attempts. Hooker was 8-of-14 shooting with six rebounds and five assists. Tristan Jarrett added 14 points and Jordan Jones chipped in eight with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Charleston Southern gets its first win of the season, 98-58
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Travis McConico scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Charleston Southern posted its first victory this season, winning in its home opener over Columbia International 98-58 on Wednesday night.
The Buccaneers (1-2) were coming off lopsided losses to Davidson and North Central State but it was their turn for a big victory against the Rams, a National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association school.
Grambling beats D-II Clark Atlanta, 31-20 in Chicago Classic
CHICAGO (AP) — Devante Kincade came off the Grambling bench to throw three touchdown passes as the Tigers beat Division II Clark Atlanta in the 20th annual Chicago Football Classic at Soldier Field on Saturday, a showcase for historically black colleges and universities as renowned for its Battle of the Bands as for its football.
After starter Geremy Hickbottom was injured in the first quarter, Kincade came on to complete 19 of 31 attempts for 230 yards and three scores.
Charleston Southern shoots nearly 60 percent, cruises to win
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Armel Potter scored 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting and Charleston Southern built a large first half lead and cruised to a 100-53 win over Johnson & Wales (NC) on Saturday night.
Potter also finished with a game-high seven assists. Patrick Wallace and Jamar Martin each added 12 points for the Buccaneers (4-4), who shot 57.8 percent from the floor and buried 12 3-pointers.
