Florida juniors Scarlett, Joseph leaving early for NFL draft
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida running back Jordan Scarlett and linebacker Vosean Joseph have decided to enter the NFL draft.
The juniors announced their decisions via social media Wednesday, becoming the fourth and fifth Florida players to leave school early and turn pro.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida running back Malik Davis will miss an "extended period" after breaking his left foot.
Coach Dan Mullen says he's unsure how long Davis will be sidelined. A sophomore from Tampa, Davis tore a ligament in his right knee against Georgia last October and missed the final four games.
Davis' latest absence could mean more opportunities for freshman Dameon Pierce, who leads the team with 162 yards rushing.
Florida allows 4 suspended players to rejoin team activities
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Running back Jordan Scarlett and three other Florida players suspended last season amid felony fraud charges have rejoined team activities.
School officials confirmed the return of the players Tuesday to The Associated Press.
"All of our players understand the standards and expectations we have of them to be members of the Florida football program," Florida coach Dan Mullen said in a statement.

Scarlett and receiver Rick Wells were suspended indefinitely from all team activities for misusing schools funds, bringing to 10 the total number of Florida players suspended for the game Saturday in Arlington, Texas.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida running back Jordan Cronkrite has decided to transfer, leaving after a sophomore season in which his role diminished significantly.
Cronkrite carried 31 times for 145 yards and a touchdown, finishing fourth on the team behind Jordan Scarlett, Lamical Perine and Mark Thompson.

Florida’s Thompson won’t play vs Georgia after drug citation
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida running back Mark Thompson won't play Saturday against Georgia after being cited for marijuana possession.
Thompson, who ranks third on the team with 262 yards rushing and two touchdowns this season, was pulled over early Thursday after he ran a stop sign near campus, according to a University Police Department report. The officer said he smelled marijuana in the car, performed a search and found Thompson in possession of fewer than 20 grams of the substance.
