Coyotes acquire Flyers C Jordan Weal
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Arizona Coyotes have acquired center Jordan Weal from the Philadelphia Flyers for a minor leaguer and a draft pick.
Weal has three goals and nine points in 28 games for the Flyers this season. Over parts of four seasons, Weal had 19 goals and 42 points in 124 games. Weal was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round of the 2010 draft.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Flyers got the type of consistent performance they had been missing of late.
Sean Couturier scored a pair of goals, Calvin Pickard made 31 saves in his fourth career shutout and Philadelphia beat the New York Rangers 4-0 Friday to stop a four-game losing streak.
Meier scores in OT, Sharks top Flyers 4-3
SAN JOSE,Calif. (AP) — Timo Meier says he isn't a big stats guy. The San Jose Sharks' forward insists his focus is on winning.
"My goal is to help the team win games and to do as much as I can," he said. "I'm not a numbers guy. I'm not focusing on numbers, only to be the best player I can be."
He was every bit the player the Sharks needed on Saturday night.
Meier got his second goal of the game 13 seconds into overtime and the Sharks rallied to beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A couple of hours before his first game back in Philadelphia, Brayden Schenn thought the biggest trash-talking ex-teammate would be Claude Giroux.
"He's pretty witty out there," Schenn said. "We'll see what he comes up with."
Giroux ended up decking his buddy on the first shift, setting the tone in the Flyers' 6-3 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Saturday.
"He gave me a shot and I just gave him a shot back. I think he just fell," Giroux said with a smirk.
