MILWAUKEE (AP) — Markus Howard had 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals to help Marquette beat Charleston Southern 76-55 on Tuesday night.
Howard scored 11 points in the first half as Marquette had a 38-28 lead after assisting on 12 of its 16 field goals.
S. Hauser, Chartouny help No. 24 Marquette beat Presbyterian
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Graduate transfer Joseph Chartouny picked a good time to make his presence felt at Marquette.
Sam Hauser scored 19 points and Chartouny added 16 off the bench as the No. 24 Golden Eagles overcame a sluggish start to pull away for a 74-55 nonconference victory over stubborn Presbyterian on Saturday.
Chartouny, who led the nation in steals per game last season at Fordham, hit 6 of 7 shots, including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc, and added five assists and five rebounds in 24 minutes.
Dayton shoots lights out in 80-70 victory over Fordham
DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Trey Landers tallied a career-high 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting and Dayton shot 64 percent from the floor on its way to an 80-70 victory over Fordham on Saturday night.
Fordham erases 17-point gap, beats George Mason 67-66
NEW YORK (AP) — Prokop Slanina scored 17 points, Ivan Raut added 16 and Fordham overcame a 17-point deficit to beat George Mason 67-66 on Wednesday night.
Joseph Chartouny's jumper with 2:37 left capped Fordham's scoring and made it 67-62. George Mason scored a pair of baskets in the final two minutes but missed two attempts to go ahead in the final 14 seconds.
Hot-shooting carries Fordham past Massachusetts, 82-69
NEW YORK (AP) — Prokop Slanina scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Fordham bounced back from a home-court loss to Rhode Island by knocking off Massachusetts for the fourth straight time, 82-69 in an Atlantic 10 Conference contest Saturday afternoon.
The Rams shot 56- percent from the field in the game, including 12 of 25 from distance, and five of their six players scored in double figures to complete their season sweep of the Minutemen.
Fordham downs Richmond 69-65 in OT behind Chartouny
NEW YORK (AP) — Joseph Chartouny scored six of his 26 points in overtime and Fordham beat Richmond 69-65 on Wednesday night to end a two-game skid.
Ivan Raut's 3-pointer put the Rams up 63-61 in OT and Chartouny made back-to-back layups for a five-point lead. Richmond's Nick Sherod made a pair of free throws and the Spiders closed to 67-65 after De'Monte Buckingham made one of two from the line with 2 seconds left.
Fordham beats Florida A&M 79-69 behind Evans, Tavares
NEW YORK (AP) — Tre Evans scored 20 points with three 3-pointers and four assists, Will Tavares added 19 points with seven rebounds, and Fordham never trailed in beating Florida A&M 79-69 on Thursday night for the Rattlers' tenth straight loss.
Fordham starts fast, beats St. Francis (BKN) 76-68
NEW YORK (AP) — Will Tavares had 21 points, Joseph Chartouny added 19 and Prokop Slanina dropped in 18 as Fordham jumped out to an early lead and then held off St. Francis (Brooklyn) for a 76-68 win on Saturday afternoon.
Tavares had nine points in the first period with Chartouny and Slanina posting eight apiece as the Rams took a 35-25 halftime advantage.
Fordham pulls away from Maine in 67-66 OT victory
NEW YORK (AP) — Joseph Chartouny scored 21 points and had tied his career high with 11 rebounds and Fordham beat Maine 67-66 in overtime on Saturday.
Prokop Slanina and Will Tavares each added 15 points for Fordham (3-4) now winners of two of its last three. Maine (1-7) has lost two straight.
Fordham tops Manhattan 70-57 in Battle of Bronx
NEW YORK (AP) — Will Tavares tied his career high with 19 points and added five steals, four rebounds and three assists to help propel Fordham to a 70-57 win over Manhattan on Sunday.
Reserve Perris Hicks hit all six of his shots from the floor and scored a career-high 15 for the Rams (2-4), who won the Battle of the Bronx and closed within 57-53 in the series.
Raut, Slanina have career games, Fordham tops LIU Brooklyn
NEW YORK (AP) — Ivan Raut scored 21 points, Prokop Slanina had 19 and 11 rebounds and Fordham defeated LIU Brooklyn 81-68 on Monday night.
Raut, a 6-foot-7 freshman guard from Montenegro, was 7 of 9 from 3-point range for his career-high output. Slanina also had career-best numbers. Joseph Chartouny added 15 points and Will Tavares 13 for the Rams (1-1).
Adaway drive with 4 seconds rallies Miami (Ohio) to win
NEW YORK (AP) — Freshman Jalen Adaway scored 15 points with 14 rebounds and Miami finished on a 7-0 run to defeat Fordham 55-54 on Friday night, giving new coach Jack Owens his first win.
Nine Redhawks scored with Adaway the only one in double figures, making 6 of 11 from the field with a 3-pointer. Logan McLane added nine points and 11 boards.
La Salle beats Fordham 66-54 in season closer
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — B.J. Johnson scored 19 points and La Salle beat Fordham 66-54 in a regular season finale for both teams on Saturday.
The win snaps a three-game slide for the Explorers (15-14, 9-9) and positions them as the No. 7 seed in the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament.
Jordan Price and Demetrius Henry sank back-to-back jumpers to put the Explorers on top for good late in the first half and they had a 25-22 edge at the break.
Saint Joseph’s survives Fordham run, tops Rams 70-55
NEW YORK (AP) — James Demery scored a career-high 25 points and pulled down six rebounds, Lamarr Kimble added 12 points, nine boards and six assists, and Saint Joseph's pulled away late for a 70-55 win over Fordham on Saturday.
Brendan Casper and Markell Lodge tied career highs with 10 points apiece for Saint Joseph's (8-6, 2-1 Atlantic 10).
The Hawks led by 15 at the break, but Fordham's Antoine Anderson had two jumpers and a 3 in an 18-5 Rams run to cut the lead to 52-47.
Fordham builds big first half lead, cruises over CCSU
NEW YORK (AP) — Javontae Hawkins led four Fordham players in double figures with 16 points and the Rams cruised to an 83-60 win over Central Connecticut State on Wednesday night.
Antwoine Anderson finished with 15 points while Christian Sengfelder and Joseph Chartouny each added 14 for Fordham (6-7), which snapped a six-game losing streak.
All four Rams in double figures shot better than 50 percent, with Fordham finishing at 56.6 percent overall.
Rutgers improves to 11-1 with 68-53 win over Fordham
NEW YORK (AP) — Mike Williams scored 19 points to lead Rutgers to its fifth straight victory, 68-53 over Fordham on Sunday in the Holiday Festival at Madison Square Garden.
Deshawn Freeman added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Scarlet Knights (11-1), who continue their best start in 40 years under first-year coach Steve Pikiell.
Jones’ 3 helps UT Arlington past Fordham 67-63
NEW YORK (AP) — Kevin Hervey and Drew Charles each scored 15 points and Jalen Jones' 3 with 41 seconds left helped carry Texas-Arlington past Fordham 67-63 on Saturday night.
Jones' 3 put the Mavericks up 63-60 and 20 seconds later Hervey fouled Antwoine Anderson who made 1 of 2 free throws. Hervey then sank two free throws and Anderson's layup brought the Rams within 65-63. Jones made two free throws to end it.
Chartouny leads Fordham to its 1,500 victory
NEW YORK (AP) — Joseph Chartouny had 17 points, eight assists, six rebounds and four steals in leading Fordham to its 1,500th win in school history, 73-62 over Rider on Wednesday.
Chartourny scored eight points in the first half and Chris Sengfelder 10 of his 17 in the first half which ended with the Rams leading 42-27. Javontae Hawkins had 12 points and six rebounds for Fordham (5-1), which won its fifth consecutive game, all at home.
Fordham beats Lipscomb 85-69 behind Sengfelder, Chartouny
NEW YORK (AP) — Christian Sengfelder scored 23 points on 7-of-13 shooting, Joseph Chartouny scored 22 with five steals and five assists and Fordham rallied late to beat Lipscomb 85-69 to sweep the Johnny Bach Classic.
Trailing 35-32 at halftime, Lipscomb's Josh Williams tied it at 35 with a 3, but Chartouny made two free throws, a layup and a 3-pointer amid a 12-1 run and the Rams pulled ahead 48-36.
The Bisons got no closer than seven the rest of the way.
Fordham beats Saint Peter’s 63-41 in Johnny Bach Classic
NEW YORK (AP) — Joseph Chartouny scored 14 points, Javontae Hawkins added 11 and Fordham beat Saint Peter's 63-41 on Saturday night in the Johnny Bach Classic.
Chartouny also had four steals as Fordham forced 26 turnovers.
The Rams had a 33-20 lead at halftime and started the second half on an 8-0 run — with six combined points from Chartouny and Hawkins — for a 41-20 lead. Fordham built a 33-point lead after Prokop Slanina hit a 3-pointer with 9:20 left.
Sengfelder, Hawkins lead Fordham over FDU 68-55
NEW YORK (AP) — Christian Sengfelder made four 3-pointers and scored 18 points and Javontae Hawkins made all 11 of his free throws and had 16 points in leading Fordham to a 68-55 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday night.
Joseph Chartouny and Antwoine Anderson added 11 points each and Jesse Bunting pulled down 11 rebounds as the Rams (2-1) won the opening game of their Johnny Bach Classic.
