New Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins forward Joseph Cramarossa knows it, and he is more than willing to accept that role if it can lead to future opportunities.
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are no strangers to late-season personnel changes, and the latest transaction netted them a former third-round pick with 59 games of NHL experience. The team acquired forward Joseph Cramarossa from the Stockton Heat on Wednesday in exchange for forward Colin Smith, according to a news release. Vermette ejected for slashing ref, Ducks beat Wild 1-0
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson got all the cushion he needed five minutes into a game against the Western Conference-leading Minnesota Wild on a night teammate Antoine Vermette was ejected for slashing a ref.
Gibson made 37 saves for his fourth shutout of the season, rookie Joseph Cramarossa scored his fourth goal and Anaheim beat Minnesota 1-0 on Tuesday night.
Kase’s OT goal lifts Ducks past Coyotes 3-2
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Ondrej Kase made the most of a fortunate break for the Anaheim Ducks.
Kase scored at 4:24 of overtime, and the Ducks beat the Arizona Coyotes 3-2 on Friday night.
Kase got his fourth goal of the season after Arizona goaltender Mike Smith's stick broke while he was trying to clear a loose puck out of the crease. The rookie forward swiped it from him and swept it past the stumbling goalie into the open net, handing the Coyotes their ninth straight loss.
Vermette, Perry help Ducks overpower Senators 5-1
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Veteran Antoine Vermette is managing to look every bit as fresh as his 21-year-old linemates.
Vermette and Corey Perry each had a goal and an assist, and the Anaheim Ducks scored a season-high three power play goals to beat the Ottawa Senators 5-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Joseph Cramarossa, Sami Vatanen and Vermette's linemate Nick Ritchie also scored for the Ducks, and John Gibson made 21 saves.
Slow-starting Ducks send Raymond, 2 more to minors
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — The Anaheim Ducks have sent left wing Mason Raymond, right wing Nick Sorensen and defenseman Jacob Larsson to the minors in a roster shake-up after their 1-3-1 start to the season.
The Ducks also recalled defenseman Shea Theodore and centers Joseph Cramarossa and Michael Sgarbossa on Saturday.
