LAS VEGAS (AP) — Josh Hart wasn't around to see the conclusion of the summer league as he was ejected from the championship game after criticizing the officials.
The Lakers fell short in the title game, losing to Portland 91-73 on Tuesday night.
Hart earned league MVP honors for a stellar two-week performance. He had a team-record 37 points in the double-overtime win over Cleveland in the semifinals on Monday. Yet, his main takeaway from the game was that he, "missed two clutch free throws."

Kansas point guard Frank Mason III has received the AP Player of the Year trophy. He averaged 20.9 points, 5.2 assists and 4.2 rebounds in helping his team finish 31-5. Mason is the first Jayhawk to win the award after garnering 37 votes, 21 more than runner-up Josh Hart of Villanova.

Foster hit a game-winning 3-pointer with 8 seconds to play and the sixth-seeded Bluejays (25-8) defeated Xavier 75-72 on Friday night to advance to a title showdown with second-ranked Villanova.

NEW YORK (AP) — When Villanova comes up with another big win you just expect Josh Hart to be a big part of it. He was again Friday night.
Hart, the Big East's player of the year, turned an offensive rebound into the game-winning three-point play with 9.6 seconds left and the second-ranked Wildcats beat Seton Hall 55-53 in the semifinals of the Big East Tournament.
