CHICAGO (AP) — The San Francisco Giants have activated outfielder Mac Williamson from the 10-day disabled list and sent left-hander Josh Osich to Triple-A Sacramento.
Williamson started in left field against the Chicago Cubs on Friday after being sidelined since April 24 because of a concussion. He was hurt when he stumbled on a bullpen mound and crashed into the left-field wall chasing a fly ball during a home game.
Abreu hits for cycle as White Sox rout Giants 13-1
CHICAGO (AP) — With a chance to hit for the cycle, Jose Abreu momentarily lost his balance during his eighth-inning dash to third base.
"My legs weren't responding, but I'm a warrior," Abreu said.
Abreu became the first White Sox player to hit for the cycle in 17 years, among a season-high six Chicago players to go deep in a 13-1 rout of the San Francisco Giants on Saturday night.
