The last-place Reds announced Friday that Price would return next year for a fourth season as manager, and then lost 7-3 to Ben Zobrist and the Chicago Cubs.
Price agreed to a one-year contract with a team option. The entire coaching staff also has been offered contracts for 2017.

The school announced Foreman's suspension shortly before Saturday's kickoff.
Foreman, a senior from Kingsport, Tennessee, had started each of Tennessee's first two games at nickel back. He has five tackles.
CINCINNATI (AP) — The Cincinnati Reds have promoted utility player Tony Renda and right-handed reliever Josh Smith from Triple-A Louisville.
Renda is in his second stint with Cincinnati. He batted .222 in 16 games, including five starts, last month.
Smith also is in his second stint with the Reds this season. He pitched in 21 games with a 2-1 record and 5.19 ERA from May until Aug. 29.
