As a young woman with acting aspirations, she wrote to Kenneth Branagh asking for advice after seeing him in "Henry V." At 16, she wrote to "Mr. Eminem" to tell the rapper what a fan she was of "8 Mile." After Julian Fellowes visited her school, she wrote to the screenwriter, too, forging a connection that led to meeting casting directors and ultimately landing a part in the 2005 film "Pride & Prejudice."
Lady Mary signals filming begins for ‘Downton Abbey’ movie
NEW YORK (AP) — Filming has begun for the "Downtown Abbey" movie.
Michelle Dockery, who plays Lady Mary in the global hit, posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, "And...we're off."
The film will reunite the Crawley family on the big screen. Series creator Julian Fellowes wrote the screenplay and will produce.

Focus Features said Friday that it will this summer begin production on a "Downton" film that will reunite the Crawley family on the big screen. Series creator Julian Fellowes wrote the screenplay and will produce.
The long-rumored film adaptation is likely to be released sometime next year. The primary cast members are all set to return.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Film bosses have requested the services of crew members and accountants to work on the picture.

David Fynn cast in London production of ‘School of Rock’
LONDON (AP) — Andrew Lloyd Webber says comic actor David Fynn and 39 "quite awesome" kids will star in the London production of stage musical "School of Rock."
Fynn, the British star of NBC sitcom "Undateable," takes the lead role of Dewey Finn, a rocker-turned-substitute teacher who forms a classroom rock band.
