WALTON HEATH, England (AP) — Eddie Pepperell will take a three-shot lead into the final round of the British Masters after a 1-under 71 Saturday as he looked for his second European Tour title and a likely place in next year's Masters.
Pepperell was on 9-under 207 at Walton Heath with fellow Englishman Jordan Smith (70), Sweden's Alexander Bjork (68), American Julian Suri (69) and France's Julien Guerrier (70) tied for second.
CRANS-MONTANA, Switzerland (AP) — Maximilian Kieffer shot a 6-under 64 to lead the European Masters first round on Thursday.
The 28-year-old German, who never won on the European Tour, had seven birdies and one bogey in finishing one shot better than Andy Sullivan, Soren Kjeldsen, Julien Guerrier and Hideto Tanihara.
Englishman Sullivan, a member of Europe's losing 2016 Ryder Cup team, had a run of five birdies in six holes to reach the turn in 30.
SCIACCA, Sicily (AP) — Mike Lorenzo-Vera of France hit a stunning 8-under-par 63 to take a two-shot lead into the final round of the Sicilian Open on Saturday.
Lorenzo-Vera fired an impressive 64 in high winds on Friday and he went one better, hitting eight birdies — including three in a row — to reach 15 under and put himself in pole position for a first European Tour title.
SCIACCA, Sicily (AP) — Julien Guerrier of France and Lucas Bjerregaard of Denmark had a one-stroke lead at the halfway stage of the Sicilian Open on Friday.
Guerrier was the only player in the field yet to drop a shot after adding a 65 to his opening 68 to be 9-under-133, a total later matched by joint overnight leader Bjerregaard, who had a 68 in windy conditions.
Ryan Evans, who was the other overnight leader, had four bogeys in a round of 69 to slip a shot behind the top two.
BEIJING (AP) — Adrian Otaegui of Spain moved into a share of the third-round lead with England's Matt Wallace after shooting a 5-under 67 Saturday at the China Open.
Otaegui and Wallace, who led by one stroke after the second round, had three-round totals of 12-under 204 on the Topwin Golf and Country Club course to lead by one stroke going into Sunday's final round.
MUSCAT, Oman (AP) — Joost Luiten of the Netherlands won the inaugural Oman Open on Sunday to break a title drought of nearly 17 months.
The 32-year-old Dutchman shot a 4-under 68 to finish on 16-under 272, two shots ahead of his friend, England's Chris Wood (69).
It was Luiten's sixth European Tour title and the first since the 2016 KLM Open.
MUSCAT, Oman (AP) — Joost Luiten showed a return to form after a mediocre 2017 as he moved into a three-way tie for the lead in the Oman Open on Saturday.
The Dutchman shot a second straight 6-under 66 — the joint best score of the day — to move to 12-under 204. He was joined at the top by Matthew Southgate (69) and Frenchman Julien Guerrier (66) after the third round at the Greg Norman-designed Al Mouj Golf Club.
