VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Thatcher Demko couldn't stop grinning the whole game in his first NHL start despite giving up the tying goals before the Vancouver Canucks won it in overtime.
Alex Edler scored 1:21 into the extra period and Demko finished with 26 saves in the Canucks' wild 5-4 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.

Veteran forward Thomas Vanek brings another consistent goal scorer to a Columbus Blue Jackets team that has struggled with production while staying in the playoff race.

Oilers get Mike Cammalleri from Kings for Jussi Jokinen
LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Kings traded Mike Cammalleri to the Edmonton Oilers for Jussi Jokinen in a swap of veteran forwards on Tuesday night.
Cammalleri's second career stint with the Kings lasted just 15 games. After signing a $1 million, one-year deal last summer to return to the club that drafted him in 2001, the 35-year-old veteran found himself stuck in a depth role early in the season, even sitting as a scratch for two games.

Jonathan Marchessault scored two goals, Thomas Vanek had a career-high four assists and the Panthers beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 7-2 on Tuesday night to stop a five-game slide.
Aleksander Barkov had a goal and an assist for Florida, which won for only the second time in 10 games. Keith Yandle, Jussi Jokinen, Reilly Smith and Colton Sceviour also scored.
Klingberg’s late goal lifts Stars over Panthers 2-1
SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — The Dallas Stars finally won one on the road.
John Klingberg scored the winning goal with 1:07 left and the Stars beat the Florida Panthers 2-1 on Saturday night.
The Stars won for the fourth time in six games and snapped a six-game road losing streak. Their last road win was on Jan. 17, a 7-6 win at the New York Rangers.

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Jeff Carter had two goals and two assists, and the Los Angeles Kings snapped a two-game scoreless drought in easily beating the Florida Panthers 6-3 on Thursday night.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Roberto Luongo didn't get too excited after his latest shutout. He is more concerned with getting the Florida Panthers back in the Stanley Cup playoff race.
Luongo made 28 saves for his 73rd career shutout, leading the Panthers to a 3-0 win over the New Jersey Devils on Monday night.
"I want to get some wins and our goal is to make the playoffs," Luongo said. "That's what my focus is on, 100 percent."
Jagr scores 756th career goal as Panthers beat Stars 3-1
DALLAS (AP) — Jaromir Jagr scored his 756th career goal and had an assist, helping the Florida Panthers end a four-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Dallas Stars on Saturday night.
Jagr, who passed Mark Messier for second on the career scoring list last week, gave the Panthers a 3-0 lead less than 17 minutes in. His seventh goal of the season chased goalie Antti Niemi as the Stars' season-best three-game winning streak ended.
Voracek, Simmonds lift Flyers to sixth straight win
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — With the Philadelphia Flyers in subpar form on Tuesday night, goalie Steve Mason made all the difference.
Mason made 42 saves and Jakub Voracek scored with 8.6 seconds left in overtime, lifting the Flyers to their sixth straight win, 3-2 over the Florida Panthers.
Wayne Simmonds had two goals for the Flyers, who are on their longest winning streak in five years.
Mason, who earned the NHL's First Star of the Week on Monday, won his fifth straight start.
Luongo makes 39 saves, Panthers beat Senators 4-1
OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — Jaromir Jagr fueled the Florida Panthers on a strong offensive night. Still, the veteran forward was ready to credit this victory to his goaltender.
Roberto Luongo made 39 saves to back a three-point effort by Jagr, helping the Panthers beat the Ottawa Senators 4-1 on Saturday night.
"The score says we won 4-1," Jagr said, "but Lou saved three or four goals at least, so we have to thank him."
Panthers’ Huberdeau out 3 to 4 months
SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Florida Panthers forward Jonathan Huberdeau will miss up to four months with a lower body injury.
The team announced the extent of Huberdeau's injury on Sunday, a day after he got hurt in Florida's preseason finale at West Point, New York. Huberdeau was expected to be a part of Florida's top line, alongside Jaromir Jagr and Aleksander Barkov.
