49ers promote RB Matthew Dayes from practice squad
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — The San Francisco 49ers have promoted running Matthew Dayes to the active roster from the practice squad and waived defensive back Tyvis Powell.
Dayes was active for Monday night's game against the New York Giants in place of the injured Raheem Mostert.
Falcons wide receivers Sanu, Ridley active against Giants
ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta Falcons wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Mohamed Sanu are active for Monday night's game against the New York Giants after being listed as limited on the last injury report.
Ridley has an ankle injury and Sanu is dealing with a hip injury.
The Giants are without wide receivers Russell Shepard (neck) and Jawill Davis (concussion). The Giants have added receiver Quandree Henderson to their active roster.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Giants linebacker and top pass rusher Olivier Vernon is active for the first time this season.
Vernon missed the first five games with a high ankle sprain, but he is expected to see action Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.
New York will be without its top two tight ends. Evan Engram is going to miss his third straight game with a sprained knee. Rhett Ellison is out with a foot injury.

Saints final cuts include 3 2018 draft picks, QB Savage
METAIRIE, La. (AP) — The New Orleans Saints have placed tight end Michael Hoomanawanui and veteran running back Shane Vereen on injured reserve, and cut veteran reserve quarterback Tom Savage while trimming their roster down to the regular-season maximum.
The Saints, who announced the moves Saturday, also traded defensive tackle Devaroe Lawrence to Cleveland for "future considerations" and waived four draft choices from the past two years.
