Brees, Saints never find rhythm as 10-game win streak ends
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Drew Brees didn't have a completion until the final play of the first quarter. His final pass, one he was trying to throw away, got intercepted.
And things certainly weren't much better in between for Brees and the NFC South-leading New Orleans Saints, whose 10-game winning streak ended in a 13-10 loss at the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Saints receiver Tre'Quan Smith, Drew Brees' top target just last Sunday, has been scratched from the lineup with a foot injury for Thursday night's game against Atlanta.
However, rookie defensive end Marcus Davenport, a first-round draft choice who has missed the previous three games with a sprained toe, is available to play, bolstering the pass rush.
Saints place Bryant on injured reserve, promote Kirkwood
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Dez Bryant's season is over before it had even begun.
The New Orleans Saints placed the newly acquired Bryant on injured reserve Saturday, promoting receiver Keith Kirkwood from the practice squad to the active roster before Sunday's game at Cincinnati.
Temple stuns UCF with last-second TD to win 26-25
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Phillip Walker threw an 8-yard TD pass to Keith Kirkwood with one second left and Temple stunned UCF with a 26-25 comeback victory on Saturday night.
The Owls (4-3, 2-1 American Athletic Conference) had trailed all night when they took possession at their 30 with 32 seconds left. Walker completed passes of 20, 16 and 26 yards to move Temple to the UCF 8 — the clock stopped at 10 seconds while chains were reset.
Temple cruises to easy 38-0 win over Stony Brook
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Phillip Walker threw three touchdowns, two going to Keith Kirkwood, and Temple crushed Stony Brook 38-0 on Saturday in its first shutout win in two seasons.
Temple (1-1) last blanked an opponent on Sept. 20, 2014, beating Delaware State 59-0, its largest margin of victory in school history.
The Owls outgained Stony Brook (1-1) in total yards 301-133. Stony Brook failed to convert a third down in 13 attempts.
